This is not a ryokan for foreigners. There was no Chinese or Korean signage. The only English written on the white board near the entrance. There is an open-air bath, but the washing area is not isolated, so it is difficult to wash in a cold windy place. I have no idea why it is so popular.

It was quite late when I checked in, but the front desk staff still patiently explained it to me. It was a very good experience.

I chose this ryokan to see the cat proprietress at a glance. Since Tendo Onsen is located in the middle of the town, you cannot expect scenery and views.
