This hotel is right in the center of the action in downtown Tempe. It’s walking distance to some of my favorite places, such as Casey Moore’s Oyster House. The room was clean, and the staff was so professional. They seemed like they had been trained by the finest hotel.
However, this is not the finest hotel. This is a motel. It’s close to the railroad tracks, and it’s close to some bars, and it’s not really quiet. That doesn’t bother me one bit. I live in a big city and I don’t think I could fall asleep if it was totally quiet.
The front desk offers free ear plugs, if you need them. But it’s really not that outrageous. In fact, if you can fall asleep, watching a documentary, you won’t hear anything. The trains don’t run all night either.
Fall asleep to a movie, and when you wake up to pee, everything will be quiet again. You absolutely cannot beat the value. I go to a hotel to sleep, not for continental breakfast, or anything else. If you want to be in a great area, and you are a no frills person, save a ton of money and go to this place. I will be back for sure.
