Hotels Near Sinda Island in Temeke

Due to the flight delay, it was already night when we arrived in Dar. We arrived at the hotel in a daze. It was not as luxurious as we imagined, but it was still elegant. The double bed we booked on the platform was probably full, so we arranged a double bed + a small bed room lol. Although the brothers were not unfamiliar with it, haha~ It took a little time to check in. The room was clean, and there was everything you could need for water and self-service coffee. Since the meeting lasted until the early morning, I got up after less than 3 hours of sleep. After all, the breakfast was good, which comforted my tired stomach and was also a kind of compensation. The overall feeling was good. The price was a little high, but the accommodation experience was OK. It was very close to the port. In the morning, we caught the boat to Sang Island. The hotel was only 5 minutes away from the pier, which was quite convenient!

My experience was good. I was looked after from the airport to the hotel. The reception was excellent. The meals, the friendliness of the staff, the cleaning were excellent. Just a situation of water running in the bathroom, in the room I was in, that almost caused a serious accident. But, the stay was great.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful and always doing their best to make the guests comfortable. The rooms were very cozy and clean, with working TV, mini fridge and aircon. The toilets were very clean and sanitized and towels also smelled like they have been washed well. I liked that the hotel was in the middle of the city with close access to a variety of important places, restaurants and shopping. What i didn't like though was that there was a lot of noise around my room as cleaning staff were busy cleaning other rooms and making lots of noises and banging doors. Also i was in a non smoking room and i could smell smoke coming from other rooms. I asked for reception to change my room, which they did.

The room was clean, clean linens. The room has a TV. The bathroom is clean, the plumbing is new, there is hot water. From the port 20 minutes walk. There is a KFC nearby.

Last night at the hotel in Tanzania, this hotel is the first choice for business trips because it is not far from the airport and not far from the city, the breakfast is also very rich and there is a swimming pool

I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

We stayed at Aura suites for 1 month with my family and we had the best experience. The staff was extremely friendly, rooms were kept very clean daily room service. Overall, we had a great time - I highly recommend anyone visiting Dar es salaam to stay at Aura. The location is very good (close to central town and a supermarket next door) and very safe when visiting with family.

Our rooms were spacious and had all basic amenities plus more. The hotel staff were excellent throughout our stay. They made us feel welcome. A special mention to all staff we interacted with daily...the list is long but i will try...Ahmed,Annax2,Hassani,Ernest,Happiness,Olivia,Gervas,Khadija,Sharifa,Zakia,Zawadi,Siwena,Joshua,Joseph,Vera,Revocutus,Patricia.......sorry if i left anyone out.

The hotel is very clean. The staffs are very kind. Got a beautiful view in both morning and night. Sunrise over the horizon was breathtaking that people come to take photos and videos of the view from 6am. One day, I asked a random housekeeper nearby to see if it would be possible to hurry on my room. She mentioned that she would be coming soon. I was seated outside on a concrete. She noticed than brought me a cushion to give me a comfort first. Housekeeper Jackline is always smiling while working and being helpful.
