Last night at the hotel in Tanzania, this hotel is the first choice for business trips because it is not far from the airport and not far from the city, the breakfast is also very rich and there is a swimming pool

I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

My experience was good. I was looked after from the airport to the hotel. The reception was excellent. The meals, the friendliness of the staff, the cleaning were excellent. Just a situation of water running in the bathroom, in the room I was in, that almost caused a serious accident. But, the stay was great.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful and always doing their best to make the guests comfortable. The rooms were very cozy and clean, with working TV, mini fridge and aircon. The toilets were very clean and sanitized and towels also smelled like they have been washed well. I liked that the hotel was in the middle of the city with close access to a variety of important places, restaurants and shopping. What i didn't like though was that there was a lot of noise around my room as cleaning staff were busy cleaning other rooms and making lots of noises and banging doors. Also i was in a non smoking room and i could smell smoke coming from other rooms. I asked for reception to change my room, which they did.

The room was clean, clean linens. The room has a TV. The bathroom is clean, the plumbing is new, there is hot water. From the port 20 minutes walk. There is a KFC nearby.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was amazing and spotless, air-conditioned with cable TV. The cleaning staff went above and beyond there duties and made us feel special and very welcome every day. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices. We ate in the hotel restaurant most nights and the food was exceptional every night. The menu was good. The chefs need to be given credit for there work. All staff on reception were polite and helpful but Rogate was of a different level and couldn't do more for us. She is a credit to the hotel and hope the management realise this and give her a promotion. For all her information and help she provided us we will 100% return to this hotel again in the future. If you are into your fitness this is the place to visit as you get full use of the air-conditioned gym and thr facilities which are all of a very high standard. The location is far from the city center, and the price is relatively cheap. Outside the hotel are relatively shabby areas, but the overall development level of Tanzania is also average, so there are not many really good areas. Hygienic conditions are average, and tablecloths in the restaurant are stained. In general, the level of domestic express hotels is okay, but it is not recommended for high living conditions.

The hotel is very clean. The staffs are very kind. Got a beautiful view in both morning and night. Sunrise over the horizon was breathtaking that people come to take photos and videos of the view from 6am. One day, I asked a random housekeeper nearby to see if it would be possible to hurry on my room. She mentioned that she would be coming soon. I was seated outside on a concrete. She noticed than brought me a cushion to give me a comfort first. Housekeeper Jackline is always smiling while working and being helpful.

The location of the hotel is good, the scenery is pleasant, and the scenery is pleasant. These days, I have to walk on the beautiful beach every morning, watching the blue sea and listening to the sound of the waves. It is really relaxing and pleasant
