The location was lovely. The bedroom was clean and the he'd very comfortable. We had food in the restaurant which was nice too. They also had a good selection of beer on tap.

Poor quality food and inexperienced waiters. Thai curry lacked flavour, from packet not fresh, poppadum soft, did not sit well; burgers cheap, tasted of pork and were greasy; beef strips were thick (rather than usual strips), gristly and served on rice rather than the salad. Steak was average, sauce from packet and gloopy, side salad very average and dry. Waiters did not serve the wine, we had to uncork it and do it ourselves. Placed menus at the end of the table to pass down ditto cutlery. Didn't complain at the time as didn't want to add to an already spoiled 80th birthday.

a little disapointing after seeing this on 4 in a bed tv programme i was a little excited to go there..we arrived sunday food off at 4pm and the place closed at 8pm thats.ok but where to go now in the middle of nowhere new to the area not a clue no reception no security . staff not really caring if we where guests or just wondered in for a drink..we had to dust the drawers before putting clothes in there ..

I was desperate for a hotel in Shrewsbury but got let down so I came across this delightful pub with rooms omg I booked 2 rooms for myself and elderly mum we had a lovely 2 night stay here the beds were comfortable beautiful pillows great shower white stuff toiletries a fresh carafe of water plenty of tea coffee ect amazing breakfast we couldn't fault anything very peaceful surroundings and we dined in the restaurant twice you can tell the quality of the food used by local farmers we will definitely return the staff were so friendly and helpful thank you for an amazing break

Pillows were good too! Big fluffy towels, with The White Company toiletries, which I love. Clean and friendly place. Aimee the Manager is a breath of fresh air! Lots of parking. We didn't eat here due to commitments, but the restaurant looked to be very popular.

Normally this is a nice quiet pub to have a decent meal in but this Sunday it was turned into a rowdy open air arena type event with deafening bass sounds that reverberated around the village annoying neighbours and visitors. No consideration was given to the quiet location and our normal Sunday afternoon and evening was completely shattered by noisy revellers and a swearing DJ on the mic. We would have like to speak to the management but our phone calls were not answered.
