The Bugyal

I'm writing this review to help others to explore a very peaceful and offbeat stay at beautiful Kanatal. Ww reach there from Gurgaon from our car and the roads are very smooth and you can enjoy the nature at its best . We reach there around 3.00PM, and park our car on the main road parking provided by The Bugyal only and from there adventure started, they took us and our luggage by the 4×4 safari jeep, as the location of the resort is on the mountain and it's way is totally ofroad and we lovvvvved it 😀. Everyone in the resort was so warm and helpful. From our tent the view of Kedarnath range was breathtaking. It's a 180° view and we were lucky to have a clear sky almost all 4 days . The tent was so comfortable and warm, as the night temperature was - 7 °. The kitchen staff was so good they provided us with the best and tastiest food during our stay. We were alone at the property during our time of stay but they cater us with the best. We explore Surkanda Devi temple first day. I will definitely recommended it as the view from the temple is 370° and it's mesmerizing. Next day we went to explore Tihri lake and this place is also a *** made marvel. If you are into water sports you can definitely go for paraselling. We had our 7 years old son with us so we opted for speed boating and made some cool videos too. In Kanatal there is a forest safari too. Kaudiya forest safari and you can opt for forest walk too. If you are looking for a late back trip and not in hurry go for it . You can spend 2-3 days by just gazing the mountain view and watching the mountains changing it's colours with every angle of the sunrays. We travel with our 7 years old son so we do things as per his comfort, but if you are traveling alone without kids you can explore more.

This hotel situated in the offbeat valley of Kanatal, Uttarakhand had one of the best views of the mountains and nature..the food was great, 100% veg 👍🏻 and rooms were spacious and very clean…best time to visit is in the winters…loved the vibe of this place…thank you for your hospitality.

After spending a night in busy Rishikesh, we were looking for a place where we could spend a couple of nights enjoying the sights and sounds of the mountains. The Bugyal caught our eye. Had a chat with the owner Sanjeev and made our decision. Approx 2 hrs drive from rishikesh through scenic roads & ghats, you will reach Whyt hotel in Kanatal.. This is where you park the car. Sanjeev was already waiting there for us. The property is on the other side of the mountain and can be only reached via a steep, off road rocky track, for which the Thar is a must. A short walk thereafter brings you to this gorgeous location on the hill side facing the Himalayas. On a clear day, you can see the Kedarnath peak from the property. We had been upgraded to their new tents. The tent was clean, spacious and well furnished. The bed warmers is a life saver as the temperatures drop dramatically at night! Working on a hillside hotel is not easy but the staff won't make you realise that. They were extremely attentive, helpful and a warm team. Deepa the manager was a pleasure to talk too. Hrithik and Akshat were very helpful especially when they took us for a picnic trek. The chef makes absolutely delicious food, most of which is grown inhouse. Not to forget Tiger and Pogo, their sweetheart dogs. We are yet enjoying the apple jams they packed for us to take back home :) Will definitely visit again.

I have never seen such great location in my 27 years of traveling experience. The property was such that I didn't hear a single honk in three days. Everything else was equally excellent. Great food, nice staff, superb location make it a perfect place to unwind.
