The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas

Our recent family getaway to The Westin Resort & Spa Himalayas, Rishikesh, was an unforgettable experience that beautifully brought together three generations—from our teenage daughters to their doting grandparents. The property is stunning—nestled in the peaceful foothills of the Himalayas, surrounded by lush greenery, with the sacred Ganges flowing nearby. It offered something for everyone in our group. The calm, restorative atmosphere was just what our senior parents needed. For the teenagers, there was enough freedom and space to explore while still feeling safe. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed with stunning views—the girls especially loved the private balcony mornings! Had a super fun time bowling and playing table tennis as well. I cherished the rare, quality time across three generations—without screens and stress. The attentive staff truly made us feel like family. They were incredibly kind and respectful toward our parents, always checking in to make sure they were comfortable. Dining was a delight. The chefs catered thoughtfully to everyone’s needs including treats that even the girls looked forward to. We’re deeply grateful to the Westin team for their warmth, care, and attention to detail. We left with memories that will stay with us forever.

This resort has everything you need for a leisurely and tranquil time in the hills. With Rishikesh and Haridwar only an hour away, you can also fulfill any temple tourism targets you may have. The resort is very well appointed. It has luxurious rooms and suites, a great pool, a well stacked children's play area (bowling, pool, ping pong, fuss-ball, etc etc), three amazing restaurants including a lounge with fantastic views of the valley. It's great during monsoon season when the valley is lush and verdant, the clouds play with you as if they're your best friend. We did yoga every morning in the spa and also got Ayurveda consultations, a relaxing massage, and styling in the spa. The crew is very customer oriented, always willing to help. Highly recommended.

We did a 3 night trip as a couple with a teenage boy, and he had a great time. It was raining and we ended up spending most of our time indoors and in the pool with our room. We did do a small trek up to a nice spot however it was too damp to spend enough time there. The positives: - The room was fantastic (we were upgraded to a Suite with a pool). - The Japanese restaurant had amazing food - some of the nicest Sushi. - The room service food was also very good. - Overall a nice modern hotel in the hills The negatives: - Crowd management during breakfast can be better. - I don't know how environment friendly such large hotels are for a fragile ecosystem.
