Looking for a delightful location for a family trip; well, this is it. This family-run hotel is located overlooking the beautiful Myall River. The rooms are nicely decorated and there’s a great play area for kids. The restaurant offers yummy dishes and there’s plenty of things to do such as heading to the nearby Caribbeanesque Jimmy’s Beach and its stunning views or taking a ferry trip to Nelson Bay. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant waterfront location, good food enjoyed by all of us in comfortable surroundings overlooking the waterfront. Friendly staff and very good service. Some of us had seafood and it was fresh and tasty served with salad and potato chips, others had Thai Salad.

Rooms are clean and tidy and hotel is in a great location. Pub is good, but expensive for a regional location. No happy hour and $9.90 a schooner is considerably more than what I pay in Sydney. Offered no discount for being a house guest. But all up a beautiful town with great fishing!

Treat tourists as foreigners. Up to $2 more for a schooner of beer if your not a local. Seeing as the Golf club at Hawks Nest and Country club Tea gardens charges very reasonable prices for drinks and foods. I would recommend them above the hotel.

What a place! We stayed here with our kids on our way up the coast & loved it. Rooms are beautifully styled, very clean & have super cute touches for the kids. Pub meals were 10/10, we both had the lamb shanks & couldn’t fault them. Amazing! Staff were super friendly, helpful & up for a chat & the huge play area was our lifesaver. Why don’t more pubs have these??? We’ll be back & we’ll be telling all our friends. Do yourself a favour & get to the Tea Gardens Hotel!

Great lunch. Highly recommend 👌 made feel very welcome. I will be going back take the ferry from Nelson Bay to Tea Gardens. See the dolphins enjoy the water ways. Very relaxing. Will not break the bank. Great for people of all ages. Ferry is very informative 👌
