The staff are generally friendly however the service is not up to expectation. We are suppose to checkin at 2/3pm, and had a confirmation called from the hotel in the morning. However, when I arrived at 4pm, I was told that it’s not ready and they need till 5:30pm to have the room ready. The place was under renovation and it’s messy and dusty, but the room is nice and clean. Overall it’s good with nice view.

A very ordinary hotel (equivalent to a 4-star hotel in China) but with a high price. There are many restaurants to choose from around. Tiano is a small town with few hotels and motels to choose from. Tourists often stop by on their way to the fjord.

Very good hotel, right by Lake Te Anau, very close, very pleasantly surprised, clean and tidy room. The balcony has an unbeatable view. It is two hours away from Milford Sound, relatively close, and worth staying.

Well located by the lake and comfortable place. We took the coach arrangement to Milford Sound and then a visit to view the glow worms.

The hotel is a bit dated and could use some renovations, especially in the rooms, to improve the overall comfort for guests. Moreover, the wifi was very poor, cannot be used the internet at all, should improve! However, the front desk staff provides excellent service in the morning, and they offer great recommendations for local attractions.

The staff at Reception were really enthusiastic. My grandma recommended a restaurant to me when I checked in. She also showed me a map of where to go and where to buy supermarkets. She also gave us a bottle of milk in each room. The guy who checked out the next day heard that we were going to Invercargill and specifically recommended that we take another route along the coast, saying the scenery was better.
