Fairfield Inn & Suites Detroit Taylor

Arrived to find really nice property great location. Checked in with no issues at all. Around 4:45/5:00 Hotel lost power, no flash lights or no lighting given at all. No hot water whole property pitch dark. Myself and many others out in the cars trying to keep our phones charged. I asked was there more lanterns and front desk said they only have enough money for 3? Power was back on around 10:45pm. So I simply wanted to know were we being compensated for the time without the use of our room. Called the front desk and was rudely spoken to. And was told my name and room number was being passed along. This is not good service or communication. All could be handled better. It’s a pass for me on this Hotel next trip

New Hotel Great Staff, only problem is Heating aircon system doe not function properly. Also, the parking lot is not finished and it is a challenge getting your bags into the hotel. Assessment nice but opened too early need to address the completion.

Standard Fairfield property with helpful and pleasant staff. The breakfast room staff were particularly good. We appreciated that the room rates were not increased during the NFL Draft. The area seemed to be relatively safe right off I75 and there is a security guard in the lobby at night.

This is a new hotel and we stayed two nights a week after opening. Everything was new and clean. Breakfast was great and staff make sure there was plenty of food despite hockey teams staying there too. We had an issue with our bill and it took a day after we left to get it figured out only because staff was new. The staff did a great job with it. Definitely a good place to stay.
