Wedding overnight stay! What a perfect wedding venue. Amazing views, great staff and delicious food. We stayed overnight in Room 10 in the Coach House, very comfortable , a bit short on space but everything you need. The balcony was a bonus as the weather was stunning and views fro there were gorgeous.

Took my grandparents for a delicious 3 course lunch last week and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and exceeded all expectations. The honey mousse was beautifully presented and tasted even better. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely be back!

Good, but not great. We stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast, and despite much that was above average - well-equipped room with lovely view from south-facing balcony, fabulous dinner, exemplary service in restaurant - the overall experience was diminished by a few oversights/errors/omissions, particularly affecting the ‘guest experience’ within the hotel. For example: at check-in (for which we were 20 mins early) we were sent to the lounge and then forgotten; we weren’t asked at what time we’d like dinner, but told when we finally did check in; our jug of milk in the fridge had a fly in it; and we returned after a day out to find some of our toiletries, including a toothbrush, on the bathroom floor (apparently removed from a shelf when cleaning). All of these issues could have been avoided at no extra cost with more care and consideration for the guest.

We got married at the Horn of plenty on the 10.2.25 and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. we came down from the south west back in August to view it for a potential wedding venue, Well it was the first one we seen and we didn’t need to look no further. Our wedding was always going to be small and intimate and the whole day had to cater for our beloved little dog and I have to say everyone involved in the the whole process went above and beyond. Starting with Shirna at the very beginning with her informative emails and alongside the chefs allowing us to tweek the menu to suit our party. All the staff were fab and the food was incredible. The housekeeping was impeccable and all the restaurant staff were great especially the lovely young lady on the breakfast shift. If you are thinking of getting married here do it you won’t be disappointed The views are incredible Thank you to all involved we will definitely be back Mr and Mrs Flynn 💕

A fantastic room, spotlessly clean, massive bed, modern 4 piece bathroom, lovely staff and exceptional food, The Chocolate Delice is was one of the best desserts I have ever tasted. A special mention for Sara and the servers in the restaurant, Barbara on reception and of course the chef, whio i believe was called Isac, Thank you for a wonderful stay, I will definitely be back.

We pre-booked the lunch menu as we were in the area for other reasons and this was one of the only places open this time of year. It's really easy to find and the drive up is really beautiful however parking seemed limited. When we arrived we were lead to the drawing room to wait for our table to be ready (we arrived a bit early so this was a nice touch rather than us standing around). The only strange thing was that we were given the menus and our order was taken in the drawing room. Strange but not a big deal. We were then led to our table by the very helpful host. Both hosts on that day were excellent and struck the right balance between checking on us and leaving us alone to eat. As part of the lunch menu you are given some warm bread and water at the start of the meal. The bread was good and was well received as we had been traveling in the morning and hadn't eaten since early in the morning. For starters we both had the Haddock fish cakes. They were really good and the perfect size for a starter. For main I had the chicken breast which was perfectly cooked. It was served with mash, broccoli, caramelised onion puree and a roasted onion. This course was solid cooking and I would 100% have it again. The desert was my favourite part of the meal. We both had the chocolate cremeux with the star of the show being the hazelnuts it was served with. It has a salty hit which was really needed with the rich dessert. It was excellent. The reason it is not 5 stars is purely a few bits we had an issue with. Being January it was pretty quiet and I don't think the staff in the kitchen realised how loud they were being. We could hear some of them swearing which we wouldn't normally care about but when the you are trying to have a nice lunch and the fact it was quiet it was pretty hard to ignore. That said, everyone swears sometimes so not that big of a deal and we would return!

Absolutely brilliant New Year break. We've stayed here many times and knew that we wouldn't be disappointed. The staff, food and overall experience exceeded even our high expectations. This time we were in room 5 which was great although the lighting is a little dim. Even so the whole stay was fantastic. All of the staff were friendly, happy and attentive without being intrusive. If Jeremy wanted a new venture he could have his team give masterclasses in hospitality. This applies to all of the team but especially Sarah (the smiling go-go dancer) Everest (the waiter and DJ) and Amelia (the waitress whose smile would brighten the dullest day). Also Donna on reception who doubles up as the lounge fire lighter. A big thank you to all the staff whose names escape us and we look forward to our next visit.

What can I say? I stayed at the hotel over the festive period to get away from the usual Christmas chaos and I was not to be disappointed. The food certainly exceeded my expectations the chefs came into the dining room after the meal to the applauds of my fellow guests. I expected great but received fantastic. Everyone was extremely helpful, the wine recommendations were perfect - thank you Sarah - and cheers to Jeremy the owner of the hotel for joining me to toast the new year. If you are of discerning nature this is the hotel for you. Nothing was too much. Thank you HoP and I wish you a good 2025.
