"Former Porta Nova Hotel since 2017 completely remodeled. Free breakfast, free Sauna and Turkish bath, free indoor and outdoor pool makes this place a bargain if you can get reasonable rates (65€ we paid per night). Buffet dinner 29€/Person + drinks is overpriced (local restaurant dinner incl. drinks is 15-20€/Person) Breakfast buffet has huge selection, made to order eggs and stuff is a real plus. Parking (still) free (incl. the roadside). Very nice personell all over - high recommened for Tavira! I recomend ”Restraurante O Simao” in residential area"

"We had a little hard time finding the address however, when we arrived, it was just like what what we expected a retreat hidden from everything. people are eager to help, very friendly except they don’t know what a lemonade is bartender we ask for a lemonade they gave us a lemon soda However everything else was great love the people love the attitude. Food was excellent. Temperature was a little hot that’s expected from the end of June July. Thanks again for excellent service."

"A few things let this place down. Room is a good size with fridge, balcony and bath, but also broken fittings and plastic mattress protectors that rustle. You have to book the spa (can usually do that for immediate use tho!) and women have to buy a swim cap for the pool (none of this is written down or explained anywhere, despite reception saying they did when I suggested they put this info in the room). Inside pool, 'jazzui' and 'turkish bath' (steam room) are included for guests. Breakfast had plenty of choice but only the fresh orange juice stood out - very average ingredients all round. Much cheaper to stay in Monte Gordo for the same facilities."

"This was a great hotel. The only issue is that parking is tight. But the staff and the front desk was always so helpful. It's also so easy to find because of the bright yellow. Great spot."

"I had booked an apartment and was upgraded to a cottage. The buildings and equipment are ”typical of the country”. The kitchen provided the essentials, but almost everywhere there were no sharp knives or rags. Inside the building is cool, which corresponds to the outside temperature: the heating/air conditioning unit warms the air. The walls and floors were cold these two days. In midsummer, that's certainly pleasant, but not in early March. The location of the resort is great! The service and friendliness of the staff! will i come back Always happy in warm seasons. "
