Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages

When I booked this resort I never realized how wonderful it would be. Upon arrival the staff sing you a welcome song and immediately make you feel like you’re a part of the family. The grounds are spectacular and the Bure I stayed in was quaint, colorful, comfortable, clean with an amazing view of the sea. The food at the restaurant is awesome and they have vegan options. They will arrange your excursions for you and take you to and from the airport. If you’re lucky enough to stay here you will have the best time.

A very special boutique ecolodge with direct access to a private beach and limited number of guests. The ladies there are amazingly caring and makes you feel part of the family. Great food with fresh fish and home-grown fruits and veggies. Perfect location to go diving, snorkelling and kayaking around the islets. Best place to stay in Taveuni if you are looking for quiet and peaceful luxury in nature.

I loved this place, the ladies were very friendly and the food was excellent, I told them I liked it spicy and they got it spot on! The Bure was nice but could do with additional lighting, not a real issue but something to think about. Their recommendation for diving was very good. There is a new luxury hotel down the road but if I return I will stay here again. The views are spectacular

Beautiful spot for a restful holiday and base for exploring the spectacular Rainbow Reef and island walks. The community of women who operate the resort are caring and will do the utmost to ensure you have the best possible time. Quiet, lovely property, eco-friendly, and serving delicious hyper local food. Right on the beach for walking at low tide and swimming and snorkelling when the water is high. Local reef is also world class. It was hard to leave and hope to return - recommend staying at least 5 nights as we did but more would be better!

Taveuni Island is the heart of Fiji, and Coconut Grove was one of the best places I can think of to experience it. Only a 40 minute flight from Suva City, and then a gentle stroll along the coastal road to hospitality and comfort Fiji style. I stayed in one of the three villas (or 'bures" locally) on a small grassy hillside with the South Pacific ocean right on my doorstep. A private deck, an open-air shower and a comfortable bed with the sound of the ocean lulling me to sleep at night. The "ladies" led by Sarah and Flori gave me the genuine Fijian welcome that characterizes the islands, and made sure I was well fed with fresh fish and local vegetables in every combination you can imagine. Local taxi drivers took me to a variety of hikes and snorkel sites, and shopping at the nearby "Sun City" supermarket. Can't recommend this place highly enough - next time I'm thinking of Taveuni I'll be returning.

This is a 3-room hotel by the sea run by the indomitable Ronna and her team of friendly Fijian ladies. The beach is very close and attractive though, as with most Fiji lagoons, the water is not accessible at low tide and is too shallow for swimming. Food is good though the choice is naturally limited. The thing we did find annoying was the staff 'siesta' from 5pm-6pm every evening when the lounge was locked and the Wi-Fi unavailable. 5pm-6pm is just when we needed Wi-Fi and a drink. 3pm-5pm would be a more client-friendly time for a siesta.
