Apartamentos Cordial Magec Taurito

Nice and clean. Ebbi is a very nice lovely woman and helpful, the young life guard was also very nice, the rest of the staff including the man wearing black shirt at dinner and young lady chef were very rude towards my disabled son, and shouted at my partner, started making remarks and faces towards our family absolutely disgusting behaviour went straight to receptionist after incident spoke with “David” who said he would “speak to them” not good enough at all! Booked a flight home straight after this happened and safe to say we will NEVER return.

Location is good if you’re looking for a pool holiday, poor for anything else. Buses are good in the local area but a car is much better if you’re staying in Taurito. Taxis to Puerto Rico are around €15 and much more to Mogán. The hotel restaurant wasn’t to our taste. Breakfast was fine, but Dinner was awful, lack of options, don’t go if you have dietary restrictions. Also felt like a canteen as you were expected to clear your table to a centrally placed slop trolly after eating. Pool bar is handy although bar regularly closes early at night which is understandable if quiet. Don’t expect peaceful sunbathing by the pool, games room is right next to the pool and is very loud. We were staying in 312 and could hear the noise of the games room in our room even with the doors closed and locked. Staff are lovely and very helpful. The hotel is very modern and clean. The apartments are a good size with full size fridge freezer which is handy. The car parking situation is a total nightmare. Costs €6 per day and you are allocated a space but regularly come back to find your space taken by another car. It’s also very tight parking.

This is the second time we've visited this hotel and it was as good as the first time. The apartments are large, bright, airy and clean. We had one with a small garden which would be ideal if you had a young child with you. The breakfast is now even better than last time with a good choice of hot and cold foods. All the staff were friendly and helpful including reception. The chef, Analissa, went out of her way to help if you wanted something different. Lina and Driss, in the restaurant and bar, were always cheerful and welcoming. We would go back there again. It is a steep walk up the hill if you are not very mobile but it is manageable. There is not a lot of choice of restaurants and bars in the resort but a short bus ride away takes you to Amadores beach where there are plenty of lovely restaurants.

MY HUSBAND AND I ENJOYED A WEEKS HOLIDAY CHECKED OUT ON SUNDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER. WE ARRIVED VERY LATE AT NIGHT AND WERE DELIGHTED TO SEE SOME FOOD HAD BEEN LEFT IN THE FRIDGE IN OUR APPARTMENT WHICH WAS VERY THOUGHTFUL. THE HOTEL IS SPOTLESS THROUGHOUT AND WELL MAINTAINED IN ALL AREAS. ALL STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY HELPFUL AND APPROACHABLE . NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR THEM. THERE WAS A LOVELY ITALIAN LADY IN THE DINING ROOM AND A MAN WEARING GLASSES WHO TOOK THE TROUBLE TO SERVE THE WINE IN THE TRADITIONAL WAY THAT WAS VERY SPECIAL AND APPRECIATED. ALL STAFF WERE VERY SMILEY AND LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE HAPPY DOING THEIR JOBS. BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING SUCH A WIDE CHOICE OF OPTIONS TO SUITE EVERY TASTE BUT THERE WAS A COUPLE OF ISSUES WITH THE COFFEE MACHINE WHICH THE STAFF TRIED HARD TO RECTIFY. EVENING MEAL WAS ALSO VERY ENJOYABLE WITH A GOOD VARIETY OF CHOICES AND IT WAS REALLY GOOD TO BE ABLE TO TRY SOME TRADITIONAL CANARIAN DISHES SUCH AS THE WRINKLED POTATOES AND MOJO SAUCE. WE HAVE NEVER STOPPED IN SUCH A RELAXING PEACEFUL PLACE BEFORE AND THERE WAS NO NOISE FROM THE BARS AND OTHER HOTELS DOWN TOWARDS THE BEACH. THE POOL IS A GREAT SIZE AND THE VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAINS WHEN YOU ARE SWIMMING WAS BEAUTIFUL. WE ENJOYED MANY DRINKS DURING HAPPY HOUR AND JUST SOAKING UP THE ATMOSPHERE. WE WOULDNT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS LOVELY LITTLE HOTEL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We booked with Jet2 Holidays, the price including car was amazing. The apartments are recent build so modern, clean and bright. All the staff were smiley and helpful, in particular we'd like to single out Adrian who went beyond the expected in every way, including writing on the map all his recommendations. (We followed his advice to Pico de las Nieves and ate at his suggested restaurant in Tejeda, he wasn't wrong). You will need to visit Spar in Mogan, or Mercadona in Maspalomas (I'm sure there are others but nothing you'd care to eat from the little Taurito shop, OK for booze and ice, so I think a car is a necessity). The pool terrific for proper swimming and enough sun loungers for all sun worshippers. If I was asked to suggest an improvement it would only be sunshades on at least one of the apartment terraces, and a comfy outdoor chair, but I'm being picky, we had a great time and loved it. I've given it maximum stars because we got much more than we paid for! We only dined there one night but the restaurant was buffet style, clean, bright, and the same smiling staff.
