Lovely meal, great food but let down massively on the service. - Firstly wasn’t greeted, no “hello” “how are you” nothing, I said what name the booking was under, the girl said table just there - Secondly, the waitress had her hair down and was chewing gum - Thirdly, felt like she was forced to be there or something was so miserable no smiling made no conversation with us, put downs our plates so forceful as if we were being an annoyance for the job she is paid to do. Had no check backs at all our whole meal to ask if we were happy with what we had. Was our first meal out since my daughter was in recovery from emergency surgery, and was let down massively by our waitress in a blue Ralph jumper, Shame as it’s a lovely pub.

Like Mary Poppins this place is practically perfect....only a Krypton Factor coffee machine in the room which defeated us and the lack of a fish main course took it off 100%! Everything about this stay worked for us...booking it and arranging early access was easy and friendly. The room and ensuite were spotlessly clean and the dinner menu a real treat. Service in the bar and at the table was everything you'd want being both friendly and professional. The breakfast menu was outstandingly good. We were only there one night, breaking a journey, but I am sure we will return here as a destination.

Another very pleasant overnight stay at the Hatch Inn on our way to Cornwall. It's always a relief to get off the M5 and enjoy a warm welcome and to be able to relax in a comfortable room before enjoying a pint (or two) and an excellent evening meal. Breakfast was also very good.

All you could hope for in a rural pub and more. Comfortable, traditional room with a nice modern shower room. Clean and tidy. I loved the little milk bottles from the shared fridge. The dates on top reassured you that the food standards were high. The highlight was the warm and friendly welcome I was given. They were such a considerate team, saving me a lovely table for dinner, which in turn was delicious! I thoroughly recommend the sticky toffee pudding. It was lovely to support a family business who offer a warm, welcoming tavern to rest and relax in.

Enjoyed an impromptu meal at the inn with my sister this evening. The food was lovely: generous birder and skinny fries, and a bowl of mussels. The log burner was a welcome treat after a cold walk. The staff, were attentive and welcoming. I’ll be back soon.

A real ‘find’. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful, great food at dinner and breakfast, comfortable and clean accommodation. The owners have taken great care in providing a warm ambience Above all, excellent value. Will definitely return in the future

Cosy stay in a welcoming pub. Attentive hosts and bar staff. Great food - I had salmon linguini - and good wine. The bar had a really good atmosphere. The rooms were cozy and the bed comfy. I would recommend and return . Fab choice of breakfasts and very freshly cooked and well presented ❤️

We stayed at The Hatch Inn for one night as I had a conference to attend the next day. Our room was beautiful, the evening meal was delicious, the beer was great and breakfast was perfect. The hosts were incredibly helpful and it all added up to excellent value. We hope to visit again.
