Spring Lodge Inle

The hotel is located in Niangshui Town, within 1000 meters of the bus station, compared to other homes, his home is very quiet at night. The front desk lady spoke very softly. The JJ bus arrived at 6 o'clock in the morning. I didn't expect to stay at the hotel immediately. I also let the breakfast be free in the morning. And the breakfast was great. Some food was not taken. The field accommodation environment was very good. The bicycle can be used for free ride. The boat that rented the hotel took a boat tour of Lake Inlai for 20,000 MMY. From 1 pm to 6 or 7 pm, the boat is also very good. By the way, there is an open-air swimming pool. Check-out day because I have to take the 5 pm bus, so check-out at the front desk at 4 o'clock said that I can, I have to say that this trip to Inlai Lake must give this one 5⭐ praise, especially recommended, cost-effective
Shwe Inn Tha Floating Resort Hotel

We spent nearly a week in this great place on Inle Lake, for a number of reasons. Of course there's the lake itself, one of the most beautiful in the world if you ask me. And then there was the beautifully wooden cabin we stayed in; it was exactly right. Big enough to wile away the day, small enough to make you feel cosy and comfortable. Views over the water are default. The (young) staff is one of the other reasons to stay longer than planned; sweet people who'll do anything to make you feel at home. This is Myanmar in a nutshell. Locally there's lots of stuff to do: amazing markets that rotate around the lake, pagodas and temples and of course the famed fishermen, who still fish in the way of their forefathers. Staff can help you with getting there and away. They also have a nice pool for those other days, when cocktails seem like a better idea ;) One thing: it's a busy lake sometimes, and the boats have outboard diesel motors. I gotta say that we didn't mind; we are guests in an area where real people live real lives. It's not my place to be annoyed. But if you're prone to this kind of disturbance you could ask when the market is close to the resort (every 8 days or so), and decide to go before or after that date. They also have earplugs or cabins more in the back if you ask. Anyway, we basically just registered the sound and went on with our lives. It's up to you. One day, I'm sure, electric motors will take over the diesel slurpers, also for environmental reasons. Enjoy!

Stayed here for one night. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is at the edge of the city center. Good thing there is an elevator! Room was nicely equipped and there was a night table and bedside lamps. It was also neat and clean. Bathroom: in the sink only cold water as the faucet was stuck/ couldn’t be turned. The lightswitches for the room were behind the bed in the middle which was a little inconvenient. Wifi worked well in the room. Unfortunately the walls seem to be very thin as we heard neighbours laughing and taking a shower. Only one point was a bit icky: the A/C above the bed really badly needs a cleaning: as it was cool we luckily didn’t need it but I don’t want to imagine all the dirt falling on my head when turning it one- see foto...Buffet breakfast was fine. Overall stay was satisfactory.

We were welcomed with refreshing towels by a very friendly & english speaking staff. They upgraded our room to a bungalow on lake for free which was a good surpise to us. The room & the swiming pool are modern & clean. The view from the rooftop and the bungalow's terrace is amazing ! The staff is very helpful for booking activities or boats rides. We would definitely recommend a stay @ Ann's heritage hotel ! Thomas & Delphine

The hotel was nice. The room was huge (suite for 3) and very clean. They helped us to book local massages but everything else we booked/found out ourselves as they had very little to tell us. We asked about using the free bikes mentioned on their website as were told they were not safe to use. We asked where we could hire mountain bikes/ good quality bikes and they didn’t know. They could only suggest 1 bike shop that hires dodgy looking cheap bikes. We asked about kayaking around the lake but they had no idea. When asked about other things to do around here we were told about a boat trip and was quoted 10000 kyat more than what we paid the day before. When asked what else we could do there were no suggestions other than ‘walk through town’. There is no obvious place for information or a book of suggested trips anywhere. Breakfast was fine but everything was stone cold, including eggs. It took us 3 days to realise that you could ask for local noodles (only because we saw other people eating them) which were yummy. We spent a lot of time each morning waiting for them to refill water/ crepes/ eggs/ pancakes etc. At checkout I was told I had to pay 3.5% for using any card (even a local card as I work in Yangon). This is not the case in Yangon or in Bagan or anywhere else we have travelled in Myanmar. So add an extra $8 to the cost of the room. Booking.com stated that I would pay in dollars on the day ‘according to the exchange rate’. However the lady at reception said their machine is incapable of charging in dollars. This isn’t a problem really but then I found out that they don’t amend the exchange rate daily and that they have a flat rate. That flat rate meant I was charged a further 12000 kyat ($8). So in all I paid $16 more than anticipated. This is my second trip Nyaung Shwe and after being given very little help with what to do here and being charged more money, I’d say go elsewhere.
