I arrived at the Amilcar hotel in the evening and they told me that due to problems with the ******* website they didn't have my reservation.
Then I gave them the printout of my reservation with the receipt
payment asking that they make the room I had booked available to me for two nights with advance payment.
They then told me that ******* had not sent them the payment made and that for this reason they could not give me the room, telling me that I would have to find another accommodation and call ******* to get a refund for what I already had. I pointed out that they had the problem and not me who had their booking confirmation and the payment receipt for the room, highlighting that it was up to them to solve the problem and give me the room. After an hour of arguing I managed to get the room. The room was the worst I found in my entire 11 day stay in Tunisia, very dirty, the bathroom very dirty with a broken toilet, the room was very small and the sheets were old, worn and dirty because they had many stains which were also present on the pillowcases.
As there was no other accommodation available in Tataouine that evening, I slept there the first night and then had to leave, giving up the second night which I had already paid for.
The worst facility I have ever found and I received terrible treatment. I strongly advise against going there.
