Since this was our first foreign trip together, I wanted our four nights here to be a special treat. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi suite with sea view was a major disappointment and downright waste of money. The balcony jacuzzi was unusable since the water was, at best, lukewarm, and the water pressure poor. However, the breathtaking view from our room was simply to die for. Unfortunately, that's what I almost did since the guardrail on the balcony had a bolt unfastened and shifted dangerously under my weight! Inside, the wallpaper was coming off the walls in several places but the ac worked well and the bed was comfy. The manager did his best to remedy the problems and even offered to move us to another suite which we declined since it was smaller and had a lesser view. And there lies the redeeming quality of this hotel. It's staff! Everyone from the restaurant manager to the activities director was geniunly friendly and helpful. No fake smiles or canned greetings. Despite the disappointment of paying for a jacuzzi that we couldn't use, the amazing view from our balcony and the wonderful staff made our stay at King Royal Palace Ölüdeniz truly memorable.

It is very suitable to stay here for self-driving travel. The hotel landscape and swimming pool are great, but the bathroom in the room is leaking and the bathtub is not draining. The room facilities are not good, the restaurant is good, and it is generally okay and worth recommending.

The hotel is 2.5 km from Erludeniz Beach and can be reached by 2 bus stops. It has a lobby with a wide view, a mid-mountain restaurant, an infinity pool, and is convenient for paragliding and pirate ship tours.

Pros: Beautiful scenery, the whole Oludeniz is in sight (paragliding and island hopping are all in Oludeniz) Dinner and breakfast are included, the variety is quite rich, the front desk is friendly, the swimming pool is great, the room is large, and parking is convenient for self-driving tours. Cons: It feels like a celebrity homestay, the photo effect is good, but the details are very average, and the decoration is similar to that of a fast-food hotel. . The air conditioning cooling effect is not good (probably because our room is on the top floor) However, the hotels in Fethiye, Kaş, and Karkan are similar, all of them are homestays. Personally, I prefer chain brand hotels

The room has a great sea view. The service attitude is very good. The only drawback is that parking is very troublesome.

Great hotel, very clean and neat, all the staff are excellent, good location with excellent views of olu deniz and babadag mountain, 5 mins walk to the teleferik that takes you up to where the paragliders take off from, it costs about £10-£12 return , well worth the trip, we done half board and glad we did, breakfast was traditional turkish, they make omelettes, fried eggs or scrambled to order, all different cheeses and jams too, the evening meal was traditional with 3 or 4 main dishes plus all the trimmings and salads, lots of different cakes and desserts to choose from aswell, the main pool is large and has its own bar with lots of loungers, they have other loungers and bean bags away from the pool to chill out, the restaurant has the main bar at meal times, even though they clear the tables once meal times are over you can stay there for drinks, all the rooms have sea views too, if you prefer the beach, like us, the hotel works in conjunction with sugar beach and entry with loungers are free as long as you spend some money at their restaurant, the food is very good there, they do a shuttle service to get you there and back too, the main road to olu deniz is very busy from about 11am so be aware, if you get the dolmus to the beach or back it costs less than 60p each and takes 5 minutes, we used a monzo card, taxi is about £5, all in all this hotel is well worth a holiday there and we are looking forward to our next holiday to this hotel.

I read the reviews prior to booking and they are quite accurate. The staff in this hotel are first class, from the girls on reception, bar staff to cleaning lady's. They all put in 1000% effort and really want your stay to be enjoyable and special. They are a credit to the hotel. Location, situated on a bank midway between Oludeniz and Hisaronu, 3-4 mins in a taxi either way (TRY 350.00) or the bus will stop anywhere on the road (TRY 30.00 per person) however they do tend to get packed. There's nothing apart from the cable cars within walking distance (the cable cars are an excellent and relatively cheap activity, however if you don't like heights....maybe not for you). The lack of bars and restaurant's within walking distance is not an issue due to the excellent availability of buses and taxis, this wouldn't put me off! Rooms, are basic and clean, there's a few maintenance issues, however don't let this put you off. Everything worked well in our swim up room. Just remember you get what you pay for.....don't expect UK 5 star. Food, the breakfast was good, clean and tidy area. There's more continental options, however I always found a food option (as a picky eater) We tried the toasty and chips for a lunch snack, again this was nice and reasonably priced, no complains at all. Pool Area, this was very clean and extremely quiet (which was fantastic for us) the views are stunning! We tried the spa (which it located at a hotel around the corner) this was superb and highly recommended, a 2 hour treatment was €150 for 2 people, including transportation, sauna, Turkish bath and massage. Overall, if you want a busy, loud hotel with entertainment/kids clubs this is probably not for you. It is quiet and peaceful with a good mix of people from all countries. The staff made this holiday for us, 10 out of 10 we would certainly go back. Hope this help!

My partner and I stayed at the King Royal Palace from the 4th to the 16th August and what a gem of a place it is! We stayed in a Swim Up room (room 103) which had one of the best views I’ve ever had while travelling with views of the mountain and overlooking Ölüdeniz. The room was very clean, tidy and modern and was definitely big enough that me and my partner didn’t feel like we were getting on top of each other. We stayed half-board and the food was amazing, the breakfast is more of a traditional Turkish breakfast menu which didn’t bother us and the dinners in the evening were equally really nice with options of fish, chicken or lamb koftas. One thing to remember, drinks are included at breakfast but you have to pay for drinks at dinner (These were cheap including the local Efes beer and not expensive). On most of the days, we did have lunch at the hotel, again the prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are good. As we had a late flight home, you can pay 35GBP for a later checkout time of 16.30 (Subject to availability), luckily we were able to do this and this really did finish the holiday off stress free as we didn’t need to rush. Location wise - you will need to get a taxi to Hisaronu or into Ölüdeniz which costs approx 150lira. The hotel does run a free shuttle bus to Sugar Beach, we done this during our stay and it was a very pleasant day and it’s highly worth doing, sun beds are included, you just pay for drinks. We also booked Dalyan (Turtle Beach) through Cook who looks after the excursions, this cost us £80 but was worth it with a direct transfer to and from the hotel. Just to note, there is no evening entertainment in the hotel, again, you can choose to go into Ölüdeniz or Hisaronu if you want to, but my partner and I would normally sit on our patio instead which was nice and didn’t bother us at all. The staff in the hotel can’t do enough for you and everyone we encounter were friendly and helpful including the housekeeping team who go above and beyond in what they do, special thanks goes to Baris, Ferhat, Sehmus, Çengiz and Ibrahim who are a credit to the hotel! Thank you all so much for creating such a positive holiday for my partner and I, we look forward to returning!

The hotel is located up the hill from Olu Deniz and before the busy resort of Hisaronu so plenty of choice for food and drinks. Too far to walk to either in the heat. A taxi to either was 150 TL (£3) This in my view is not a 4* hotel. The views from the hotel are beautiful. The positives - We had a swim up room and we used the pool loads. - A quiet hotel. Seemed to get loads of guests who only stayed a few days and went out on trips every day so hardly anyone in the main pool - lunch menu was a bit limited but the portions were large and reasonable - Bar and breakfast staff were lovely and very helpful - We arranged 2 trips via the hotel Jeep Safari and a boat trip. Both £35 each and amazing value. Enjoyed both days out. - Hotel in a beautiful spot - great views - Babadag cable car 5 mins walk. Definitely worth the trip up and much cooler. Watched the paragliders taking off. - Man from next hotel offering Turkish bath, massage & face pack for €90 for 2. My daughter and I went and really enjoyed it. - They offer a shuttle service to the beach but we didn’t use it. The negatives - no walkable shop - Gym is not signposted and nothing really there. - sheets didn’t fit bed ( bed was a king with a double flat sheet laid on top) - 3rd bed in the room was a narrow sofa bed not a proper bed - Housekeeping were hit and miss with a 3rd set of towels - Breakfast is a bit random. Nothing typically English ( which was ok for us but if you’re looking for a full English breakfast it’s not for you) - Look after your belongings - my daughter had her sunglasses stolen from the breakfast table - if you have a flight later than check out there are no facilities to have a proper shower unless you can arrange a late checkout £35 till 4.30pm. - no glasses or cups in room. Paper cups for hot drinks which were then too hot to hold. - Shower water was tepid every day. We enjoyed our stay and the positives do outweigh the negatives

*We booked 3 rooms for 6 adults for a 10 night stay*. I don't know where to start? Similar to other customers we agree the location of the hotel is beautiful the scenic view, with a forest location (though you do not feel like you're in it) and ease to get to restaurants and shops is advantageous. Months before our arrival, I had sent an email requesting our 3 rooms be next to one another (ideally) and queried connecting rooms. I received no response at all, though I made contact again, approx 2 months later, my email was again ignored. This should have been a warning sign that management/staff lacked customer care, but I made the excuse of a busy period. *The hotel* should not claim they have a gym - it is a room with a broken unusable multigym, with free weights 2 x 5 kg dumbells, the mirror is an unclear crazy mirror rather then an actual mirror. *Customers* have mentioned the staff were friendly/helpful in some cases. We found the catering staff to be mostly friendly and did go out their way on several occasions. But some front of house staff were cold and inconsiderate. When we first arrived and spoke of the issues with the 3 rooms the front of house staff looked straight through me, though I had no right to raise issues, he remained dismissive and cold throughout our 10 night stay. *Rooms* like multiple other reports, rooms look great on the pictures, and actually, at first glance, fair well. But we had the following issues over the 3 rooms; major issues with Wi-Fi, leaky sink, broken tiles, lopsided cupboard doors, broken showers (all 3 gushed water on one side), toilet seat that doesnt stay up, side lamps broken, plug sockets not working, 1 plug to be shared by TV and kettle, exposed wires near the sink, ants in all 3 bathrooms, and a lopsided TV. *Positives* dinner was very good, and we found it to be varied enough. Breakfast was a little boring but good enough. Please be aware that the time window for dinner is 2 hours only 7 pm - 9 pm (they pack away promptly at 9 pm). The infinity pool and pool area is lovely. The view is gorgeous. The general clientele seems to be mostly local. We liked this, though this might skew the reviews and ratings (perhaps due to different standards and expectations?). We made the most of our 10 night stay, we had much to celebrate and enjoyed 6 excursions ( there's nothing to do at this hotel apart from swimming in 1 pool). Our excursions saved our holiday. Please note there are no communal areas to enjoy group meetings of an evening (apart from the lobby) and 1 x 3 seater outdoor table and chairs. *Sadly, we will not return to this hotel, and we do not recommend it.*

To start off the hotel is in a beautiful location and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The hotel is beautiful but we noticed that it is lacking care and attention. We stayed in Room 207, which is near reception. Avoid this room if you can, firstly it is VERY NOISY. People coming and going at all hours of day and night, checking in at 5am. Then there were a list of things wrong with the room, switches hanging off the wall, water dripping in the bathroom from the room above, the toilet stopped flushing, the tap came off in our hands, the toilet seat would not stay up, the air con was extremely noisy. The staff responded quickly to our problems but we had to contact them everyday as there was a new problem. It took them sometimes two or three attempts to fix the problem! We ended up getting a late check out for free because of the hassle we had. The hotel exchange rate is very poor, to be expected probably, most hotels are. The breakfast is delicious, plenty to chose from and very fresh. The pool has a beautiful view and there are always plenty of sunbeds available. The bus stops right outside for Ouldeniz or Feithye. Costs around 30tl. We liked Hisaronu best in the evening, it had a lovely vibe. We'd recommend the VIP lounge for tasty food, the pesto chicken pasta is amazing 👏
