We came to Täsch, one station before Zermatt. Heard a lot abt this location and chose Hotel Elite, just walking distance from the station. The horrible things started with they asking 1 Euro for 1 franc. Isn’t that cheating. Then comes the time when we come up for breakfast and what an amazing spread. By amazing, I mean, horrible spread and most uncourteous staff. We were 11 of us and hunting for something in breakfast and asked for omelettes for 6 of us as all had not come down for breakfast by then. When the other 3 joined us and we asked for omelette, the person said “first finish the earlier omelettes and then I would give more.” Did they want 9 people to eat from 6 omelettes. Don’t we have a right to ask for one omelette each. The food timings are till 9.30am only. So, we didn’t have an option to wait beyond 9.30am as we knew the order won’t be taken later (looking at the courtesy being offered since the time we entered the hotel). When we asked for tea and tea bag, he rudely replied and took away the tea maker. This is a very insolent and impolite behaviour. And the final blow to us was no hot water for bath in a temperature of 11 degrees. I did give them a piece of my mind and informed them that whether it’s a 3 star or 5 star, we have to be courteous and the owner shud own up the responsibility for the wrong doings and rude behaviour of their staff, but in vain. This is very unbecoming of a hotel which is one of the most pleasant towns in Switzerland. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone who visits this beautiful town of Täsch.
Fantastic location right next to the train station and very large modern room which very spacious and comfortable. Couch, armchair and table, large modern bathroom with large bath and underfloor heating, loads of storage space for clothes and cases, and a large balcony overlooking the mountains. Cannot hear trains with doors to balcony closed so a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was also very good. The bistro wasn’t open during our stay but there are plenty of options in Tasch and Zermatt and two lovely little local supermarkets across the road stocking all the main items.
The hotel is on the edge of the train station. There are three rooms, which are reasonably priced. There is a coop supermarket next to it. There is also a fast food restaurant opposite the hotel. It is open late, has many types, tastes good, and has a large amount. Our mother and daughter order one. Very full. To the town of Zermatt, you need to take a shuttle train, you can use the Swiss Pass, the train is a few minutes away, the running time is very short, and there are cars late at night, with beautiful scenery along the way. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast, which is very tasty and can be eaten more satisfactorily.

It was a pleasant stay overall with a nice view, quiet room, and clean facility, except for the broken shower head.
We informed them immediately, but the hotel told us that it would be fixed on the next day.
Very amazed by the level of automation in the hotel! Check-in was seamless even though it was just an iPad. We needed to pay a tourist tax via an online link prior to arrival but we were abit wary given the number of online scams nowadays - perhaps it’ll be better to charge everything up front?
There was free coffee available as well, which was a huge plus. The room was amazing, spotlessly clean, sufficiently big, had a balcony, comfortable bed. One of the staff (a guy) allowed us to put our luggage in the room early even though we could only encode our card after 3pm. He even helped us make a reservation at Du Pont as we didn’t have a Swiss number, thanks very much!
The hotel is a 10min walk from the main train station, though there are free buses which can shorten the journey. We just walked as it was faster.
We were in Swiss for 2 weeks and this hotel is definitely the best accommodation we had - for a very good price as well!
Trip.com did not state the linen fee charges per person on their website. When I arrived I was shocked that a 4CHF per person per night has turned in a 78 CHF payment which is a huge discrepancy. However, it took me about 2 hours and I resolved this with the service reception of Alpen. There is no main reception in this lobby but the service providers were superb. The room is amazingly spacious and clean and it was an overall lovely stay thanks to the great service and comfort of the room.
We had a ten day holiday in Zermatt in this great hotel. The food was special - a breakfast buffet with huge variety and a delicious dinner every night. The spa was stunning - an amazing treat in which to relax after a long days' hiking! With the games room and tennis court also available. But the extra special ingredient on top was the service from waiters in the restaurant were fun, friendly and helpful as were those on reception. Whereever you went in the hotel their staff had a smile on their face and were always eager to help
Beyond Expectations. The Phone-call for Shuttle service Back and Forth pick up from the Station was quick precise and done with a smile by the porters, the receptionist in the check in was so fast, informative, professional and welcoming aswell as the others staff of the whole hotel. we would highly recommend the place to others, specially the room we got from the receptionist that is 803, The room itself was so huge with some free coffes and tea and that the Comfort room downstairs was so huge it literally was double the size of my other hotel rooms in Switzerland, For this 2023 trip. The amenities is awesome specially after a long hike on the hills and you only wanted to relax your body Then The spa and pool Are there for you. The breakfast was cool and have different varieties that you may choose from, for cold or warm food. and a minor adjustment maybe in arrangement of the food and making sure that the expose area around the food plates is always cleaned and maintained for the next batch of breakfast eater.. I’ll post some videos or picture when i get my computer up and running. But Zermatt budget rooms.. see ya in the future..
The room is very big and has a terrace. There is breakfast🍳delicious🤤
It feels very comfortable and the bathroom 🛀 is so big
Although the location of the room cannot see the Matterhorn, the snow view is pretty good👍🏻
There are supermarkets nearby and it only takes 3-5 minutes to walk🚶
It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the city center and the train station🚄
Environmental hygiene, worth choosing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
