Just back from 2 nights here. We loved our stay. Friendly staff and locals. Loved the views. Delicious breakfast and evening meals. Amazing selection of local ales. We enjoyed the Portuguese wine too. Best wishes to the new owners.

Great location with lovely views over the hills. Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were very helpful, the accommodation was beautiful and immaculately clean. The breakfast was superb.It couldn't have been better. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely, spacious comfortable room, once the heating had been sorted out! Excellent breakfast and good value evening meals. Staff on the whole very friendly, but somewhat stressed due to staff shortage!

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Such a beautiful and peaceful village. The room was clean , cosy and very comfortable.The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was super cosy and the breakfast epic! And I have to say...the Grainger Ale on tap in the beautiful old bar with the roaring fire was just about the best pint I have ever drunk in my life ! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay and I hope to be back soon!

The level of service we got was amazing. The food was outstanding and the warm welcome we received was first class. The whole team provided a warm and friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Holly Bush Inn. Thank you too Lynne and all the team 😊

We chose this slightly eccentric hotel from an internet search of accommodation near Hexham & it proved to be very interesting both from location & facilities, the 1st floor room had interesting features including original doors & coomed ceiling which once you got used to it was fine, the evening meal was excellent & presentation also a bit eccentric, our only grouse was a lack of fresh fruit at breakfast (the offering was “tired”) & our wash basin wouldn’t hold water & was cracked.

Friendly, helpful staff, local knowledge good. Cosy atmosphere with excellent home cooked meals and a fabulous breakfast, do try the Riever pie for something a little different. Accommodation comfortable and quiet. Well placed for access to Kielder Forest and the observatory
