One if the best hotels I have stayed in. Superb staff; great rooms and pool area. Excellent breakfast and good bar/ lounge area. Well positioned for walking into Santillana. If you are into jacuzzis then this is the hotel for you. A nice one by the pool plus one in most rooms!

Fantastic place to stay, accommodation was the best and the staff were eager to please. We stayed 7 days and used the room service which was really good. Thoroughly recommend this place. And to top it all we got a packed lunch when we left. All in all a fantastic place to stay.

This hotel has every wow factor going and I have stayed at many hotels. This is surely one of the best. Friendly and welcoming staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Decor and furnishings of rooms and areas are unique and spotlessly clean, A good pool and terrace. Booked the aromatherapy package and had jacuzzi in room. A great and plentiful breakfast. Easy parking and just a few minutes walk to the old town. Thanks for such an excellent stay. Janice and Vince Finnerty

We stayed at this modern hotel for one night on our tour and wished we could have stayed longer. The bedrooms were out of this world, so comfortable. The guy who made our G+Ts in the garden did so brilliantly. Our breakfast was cooked to order and well worth the extra cost. We couldn't use the pool or hot tub as it wasn't warm enough. The leaving gift was so thoughtful for our onward journey.

This hotel is faultless. It is beautiful throughout. The staff are fabulous and friendly. Our hotel room was stunning and spacious. The outdoor bar area is beautifully planned and the indoor library and bar area so relaxing. Everything was very reasonable for price.

The decor here is SO stylish! Staff are attentive & efficient Breakfast buffet is superb Room is just gorgeous! Garden is fabulous especially with the quirky cocktail bar!! José makes divine cocktails A superb three days at the end of our extended road trip …¡ muchas gracias!

We have done a road trip around Spain and Portugal and stayed in some lovely hotels but this is the best and situated in a beautiful part of Spain. Exquisitely decorated and spotlessly clean with comfy beds and a fantastic shower. Nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was fantastic even down to the drinks expertly served in the bar. Spacious garage for parking but free spaces outside. Lovely breakfast and a great pool area.

Having stayed in Santillana del Mar several times over the years, for this visit I had selected Hotel Cuevas as it was just outside the town with private parking. Arriving at the hotel, parking up and then being greeted at reception made me think, 'this is nice', then I go to the bedroom, and it was, 'wow this is really nice'! This a very stylish hotel, everything is just done so well. The garden and pool area with warm sunny days is an oasis of calm, with the opportunity for a drink served from the VW cocktail bar! The breakfast buffet is amazing, with eggs cooked to order. This is a special hotel - which is why I returned at the end of my road trip holiday to stay for another 3 nights, and on the second stay I took advantage of the impressive garage. Everything about this hotel is 'impressive', and the staff / The Team, are all so lovely. So a big thank you, and I look forward to being able to stay at Hotel Cuevas again.

The Hotel Cuevas is one of the best hotels we have stayed in for many reasons. The staff are welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to help you. This small hotel is bright, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with extremely comfortable bedrooms. Breakfast was plentiful with eggs cooked to order. We had lunch there a few times and it was fresh and delicious. Outside there was a pool, sun loungers and jacuzzi, which we used when the sun was out. There was also a cocktail bar in a converted VW van. From the hotel it is a short safe walk into the historic town of Santillana del Mar. The hotel will recommend and book restaurants for you. This hotel was so comfortable and welcoming that we returned later in our holiday to stay there.
