Milawa Muscat Retreat B&B

Stayed on our road trip holiday. Never stayed inB&B before. Was pleasantly surprised. The unit/room was large and comfortable over looking a lovely field. Was Monday so pretty quiet, not many other visitors. A lovely full cooked breakfast was provided the following morning. Place was lovely, clean and owner was very friendly.

Denise and Peter were the most exceptional hosts, welcoming and friendly from start to finish. Rooms were spotless, spacious and a great base to explore the King Valley. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty and great value being included in the tariff. Best value accommodation we have found.

We had a great experience here. Walking distance to Brown Bros and other points of interest. Lovely large room and great service. Wife has Coeliacs disease and this was catered for (both breakfast and the amazing dinner). We will stay again when in the area, Highly recommend.

The place was amazing. Nice and quiet. Relaxing spa and the room was complete with everything you need for a romantic night together. Denise and Peter were lovely hosts and so friendly. We got the 3 course dinner as well as the cooked breakfast and this is where Peters catering skills shined. The leek tart entree was to die for and even my partner loved his dessert (he's not a dessert man). They had a bottle of prosecco waiting for our arrival and some choices of DVDs as well as board games available for entertainment making it perfect for a quiet night in. Unfortunately for us we had a late dinner and was unable to try the beautiful cheese platter provided after dinner much to our disappointment. Was so amazing we will be back next year.

The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The things I look for - do they provide a facewasher? is there a decent shelf in the shower for my own toiletries? is there enough bench space in the bathroom? - all met. Every unit is ground level, with a verandah with table and chairs, facing across vineyards and gardens. They provide chocolate and their own home-grown muscat - so good! Denise was very easy and pleasant to deal with, and amenable to all our requests. We asked about soup of the day at late notice, and they immediately started cooking a delicious cauliflower and bacon soup. The home cooked brekkies were delivered on time, beautifully presented, delicious, with many local products. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

This place is the ultimate in country accommodation. Peter & Denise are lovely hosts, and offered every service to accommodate us. They recommended places to visit, eat, sample, etc. But essentially they run a clean and comfortable place to stay in Milawa. It couldn’t have been more enjoyable. The rooms are detached, spacious, clean and well fitted out. Nothing was missing. Breakfast can be served on your own deck, or out the front in a communal area, or inside in the dining room. Breakfast is quite comprehensive, with a wide selection. One evening, we ordered platters for dinner. Two platters arrived - one warm and one cold. The warm one had pork ribs and sausages; whilst the cold one contained cheeses and salamis. Peter is retired chef, and has a certain way with pork. We washed our platters down with local wines from our tastings earlier in the day! Thoroughly recommended!

Very well located accomodation in Millawa. Close to King Valley, Brown brothers, and Millawa cheese factory. Large room with lovely hosts Peter and Denise. Peter is also a retired chef and can do meals as well as breakfasts. We had a lovely meat and cheese platter one evening. It’s located between Millawa and Oxley.

This is an old style motel with ample room and offers breakfast. The room was very clean and the room was comfortable. Denise and Peter are very friendly and supplied an excellent dinner at a reasonable cost. At night there is not much choice for eating in Milawa. The location of this accommodation makes it ideal for exploring the King Valley.

Lovely hosts, friendly and helpful. The B&B is peaceful and secluded. We stayed in a the King Spa room. The ‘room’ was huge more like an apartment than a room, with a lounge area, kitchenette and dining table, bed room and large bathroom. Lots of lovely little touches from the hosts which were appreciated. They also drove us to and picked us up from our Degustation lunch at Brown Brothers so that we could really enjoy our day! We pre-ordered a grazing plate for 2 that we enjoyed in the evening with a bottle of wine. Peter is a chef and enjoying dinner in the evening is a bonus extra when staying here, no need to go out. Our cooked breakfast was delicious, so much to choose from and delivered at the time you choose. This retreat would also be great with a group of friends to enjoy.
