Top rated hotels in Tarrant County

Home2 Suites by Hilton Burleson

This hotel was exceptionally clean, as I’m sure most of it has to do with the fact that it relatively brand new. And the staff was cleaning continuously. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable! The bed and the pillows were the most comfy I’ve ever slept in and the room gets super dark when you pull the shades, even in the middle of the day. Our room had just a shower, it would’ve been nice to have a shower tub combo, but all in all I will give this room and hotel five stars! The location is ideal for shopping and restaurants close by. And also, it’s on the outskirts of Ft. Worth, so traffic isn’t too terrible getting around. Breakfast was good and had a decent selection, waffles, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, muffins, juice, and coffee. Negative: Pool was freezing! I thought for an indoor pool it would be heated…

I have no idea how this hotel has a high rating because it is terrible!! They use their parking lots for downtown patrons and hotel guests do not have priority so you may/may not get a spot and may/may not be able to access your car. The parking garage is tiny and DISGUSTINGLY dirty and smelly. There are piles of garbage bags four feet high, a dead mouse, and a dead bird—and I was trying not to look. The inside of the hotel is barely surface clean. When you look closer, the tiles are popping up, the carpet is stained and dirty, the rooms are grimy. There was ZERO housekeeping available for the entirety of our stay. We were here for 3 days and never once did we see ANYONE cleaning the high-touch surfaces or vacuuming the floors. The bar is closed during the weeknights. The lobby and elevator REEK of fake air freshener—so much so that I dreaded going inside. The same piles of trash and food wrappers were outside the doors and in the stairwell for our entire stay. We asked to speak to a manager and were told they would be down in a minute, they were cleaning rooms, they were off work—all in the same 3 hours so we never talked to a manager. The front desk lady nodded and stared at us vacantly when we were expressing our concerns. The front desk guy the first night was helpful and nice. We looked at other hotels that were cheaper but this one looked nice so we thought we’d give it a try. Wish we hadn’t. Do not stay here.

This is exactly what was advertised online! and then some! not to mention how amazing the staff is after a horrible experience at the extended stay city-view location 2 minutes down the street and canceling my reservation there and moving over to this location (2 min down the street) rooms look like the pictures online and i can not express how helpful the staff is! Employees of the month need to be Joe & Joshua they went above and beyond for any questions concerns or requests i made and made every one of them happen not to mention doing it with a smile and a respectful friendly attitude!

We arrived early and were very grateful that we were able to get a room a couple hours before checkin time. While I was checking in, there was an extremely unprofessional lady (I think she may have been the manager) on the phone speaking extremely loudly and ghetto (it’s the best way to describe her conversation). She was on the phone speaking about getting keys from another location because this location was had low quantity. She went on to say something about the payment and a check needing to clear. I attempted to block out the conversation while I was being checked in but she was sooooo loud. The young lady checked us in and I was actually surprised that we did not receive any type of welcome gift similar to what we receive for elite status. Not even water. We were in a corner room with an amazing view. The room was spacious; however, the bathroom was very tight. The toilet is literally in front of the door which made it tight getting in and out of the bathroom. The room was overall clean, except the floor doesn’t seem to be mopped often. I accidentally dropped some food and got a wet paper towel to wipe it up and it was filthy. The location is perfect with access to lots of high end restaurants. However, gluten free options are limited. I stayed at a different hotel about a block or so away earlier during the summer and it was an absolute struggle trying to find good gluten free options in this area. I doubt that we will return to this location, although I really wanted to like it.

The entire staff from the associate greeting us at the door, to the front desk, to other associates in the lobby, pool area, outlets and housekeeper are amazing. It may sound cliche but it's true - this team is thee best in the area. Their 4th of July Eve event set up was spectacular to say the least. Having a well planned an executed process to order and pick up typical 4th of July delicious, by the way, meals and refreshments, ran like clock work - NO ISSUES. NO WAITING. Even in the 100+ heat, the pool, patio and veranda areas offered plenty of room to relax. While the actual pool is small, we still enjoyed a dip in to cool down and sat in a nice cool area enjoying the festivities. They had seating available for firework display outside, and our room faced the display too which I only found out after I ran up to the room for a quick trip, since our dog did not appreciate the noise. To top that off, they kept the grill going AND had a staged area for photo ops with props inside. Our accomodation were spotless.I was a hotel procurement manager in 160 cities for an airline and know what to look for - this hotel has an A+ .Plus I have been a Sales Manager and Star Training for another Brand. Dinner that night at Copeland's was awesome and our server Michael made my 96 year old dad chuckle about carding him for a glass of wine as he tended to our every need for refreshing our sweet tea and water. Bravo Michael. Can't say the same for the breakfast buffet hostess who needs a lot of training in hospitality. Yet, the servers for the breakfast buffet made us feel warm and welcomed even though we strolled in at 1040 and my children at 7 minutes to 11 - and told ”WE'RE CLOSED THERE'S NO MORE BREAKFAST”. The servers jumped in got them something to eat and we were out by 1115. So this hotel will now become our tradition for July 3 and 4 and we will extend our stay to longer next year as well as other dates throughout the year. The GM, Front Desk Manager, Housekeeping Manager and F&B Manager ALL are fantastic. We can't wait to go back.
