This is a modernised hotel with original features and pool with bar giving spectacular views over the bay. Issue with room quickly resolved at check in. Buffet style breakfast delicious with home made options. Friendly. Nearby private beach lidos with optimal service at extra cost. Restaurants within walking distance and the funicular to Taormina. Note narrow pedestrian access to this as few defined sidewalks.

The hotel is not 4 stars. When it opened, maybe it had these stars for the 90s, but since then, apparently, no repairs have been done. The location is not the best - 15 minutes walk to Isola Bella along the side of the road, 10 minutes to the funicular.
If you leave the hotel to the left, you can walk to the sandy beach, there are many times fewer people there!
There is also a staircase to the city, not as well-maintained as from Isola Bella, but close by.
The breakfasts are meager - for 4 * very modest.
The service is excellent, everyone is happy, everyone is smiling.
Those who have a car - parking is a problem, the hotel has 5 parking spaces, there is no parking on the road.
If you are lucky with the room, then a gorgeous view of the sea! We had a Deluxe, 3rd floor, right there is an exit to the pool, very convenient. The pool itself is small. By the way, the hotel is in the shade after 12 noon, so you can't sunbathe by the pool.
It was more advantageous in terms of price, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for a week which was amazing! The hotel is clean and very comfortable, views absolutely stunning. The staff very friendly and lovely. Thank you to Claudia at the hotel reception for being so helpful and answering all our question about the area and to Tiziano at the pool bar for making amazing cocktails and being so friendly! The location of the hotel was just perfect, beach is walkable along with restaurants and shops. Yes you have to walk on a road but it’s not a problem at all. Cable car to Taormina is just up the road and great. Very easy to use and it’s beautiful up there. Return cost €10 per person. Hotel pool is lovely and clean, nice temperature and comfortable sun beds. Breakfast was very good. We had a fabulous stay and highly recommend this hotel and location. We will definitely return in the future, thank you Bay Palace for a perfect week!

The hotel was great, first impressions it was a steep walk up (not ideal in wheelchair or buggy) the hotel seemed a bit dated. Staff very friendly. I think it would help if the rugs on ground floor would be gotten rid of. They looked so old and not cleaned. Our room was on 4th floor, balcony facing the seafront. It was lovely. The room is spacious, bathroom was a good size and balcony was also a good size. The tv (which we watched for 30 min throughout our stay) was very small - I can only describe it as the size of my work computer screen. This didn't bother us as like I mentioned we hardly used it. Pool was good. We saw it being cleaned one afternoon which is good to know. Enough sun loungers. Breakfast was standard buffet style. The coffee machine was out of use one morning and one of the staff was making coffee from a different machine and bringing it over which was very nice! Short walk to free beach (5 mins). A bit of a further walk (15 mins) in opposite direction to cable car to go into the main city. further 10 mins away is access to Isola Bella. Nice quiet hotel. Would recommend.

The hotel has a great view from the rooms looking at the sea. Breakfast is good with minimal requirements. The hotel building inside is outdated and worn out and needs immediate interventions. The hotel does not have access to beach umbrellas and beach amenities, but the bus station is near to travel to the city.

The facilities leave a lot to be desired. The hotel stay was not pleasant, despite the friendly staff. Several sites, such as Trip Advisor, mention free private parking, which they claim is not true, and charge €25 per night. They scratched my car, and when I complained, they said the surveillance cameras were turned off or broken. When I asked for the complaints book, the manager was unfriendly and said they didn't have a complaints book and that complaints had to be made via WhatsApp! I HIGHLY AVOID this accommodation, which is only called a Palace.
