Twin Star Hotel

The one & only hotel i dealing with asked you to take off your shoes before register at the counter 😠 What a reason? Im not entering a prayer room or i don't see a valid reason for this action. The room just so-so with no window and it purposely for sleeping only. I don’t put higher expectations for this kind of hotel. But very surprised with the policy. Hope the owner read this review and improves the registration process. Thanks
SG Hotel Tanjong Malim

A descent hotel with functioning smart tv, aircond and the like. Surprisingly, it has a very strong wifi that we could watch youtube on that little tv on the wall. There is no elevator proceeding to the hotel which is on the second floor. Unfortunately, its rainy day and we arrived on Saturday evening where there is a pasar malam around and I hardly get a parking space. Hello boss! I think its time for you to change the bed & pillows thou…. RM5 for an extra thin pillow I think its redicolous!
Greenland Boutique Hotel

We stayed at Greenland for a few nights when visiting relatives. The location is slightly out of town but not too far away. Before arrival when we contacted the hotel, they were really responsive. Staff were very friendly & welcoming throughout our stay. Parking is free, which is welcome. There is a cafe on the third floor with views of the surrounding area. The rooms were spotlessly clean & there was ample space. There are hot & cold water dispensers in the corridors which were really helpful. A clothes steamer/ iron placed in the corridor is available for use. Toiletries are in a dispenser which is greener than in other hotels. We really liked the hotel but a few things could be improved about the room: - the disposable towels are pretty pointless as they are not very absorbent - there are no hangers in the room & no storage space - no free tea/ coffee or cups if you wanted to make your own drinks - air con is weak & doesn't cool the room quick enough - there was only one roll of toilet paper with no spares! - the TV is positioned in a way where if someone was on the far side of the bed, the view is partially obscured - the bed frame protrudes from the side so it's possible to get your shins & legs caught if you're not careful It was fine for us but just a note that the beds are quite low, so might be unsuitable for the elderly or those with mobility issues. Our impression of Greenland was overwhelmingly positive till we had to check-out. We had spoken to staff the night before to explain we will be checking out before 6.30 am & clarify whether there would be staff around. The staff said they would speak to the manager about leaving the room deposit with the security guard who can pass it to us, when we return the room cards. As there was no further contact from staff, we assumed everything was fine. The next morning, the security guard said he didn't have the deposit & the reception would only be open at 8am. We had no choice but to delay our departure. What was infuriating was that at 8am, there was no one in reception, though the cleaners were around. We phoned the number provided for out of hours, & one of the cleaners asked the security guard (a different one from the one we met earlier in the morning) to phone the boss, but there was no answer. Eventually, after more than 10 mins, the security guard gave us the deposit out of his own money in exchange for the receipt. None of the staff should have been put in that position. The lack of consideration cast a shadow over what was a positive stay. The hotel should have arrangements in place for early check outs. They had not asked anything about this when we checked in & even when we made the effort to clarify this the night before, they didn't do what they said they would. The shoddy service is extremely disappointing & off-putting. The deposit wasn't alot, but we shouldn't be expected to forego it, esp when we had explained we don't have a Malaysian bank acco
