STARWAY Hotels in Tangshan

I have never encountered such a situation. I checked into Tangshan Shangri-La on November 18 and checked out on November 19. I came to Tangshan on a business trip. Let’s not talk about the water in the room being “ice dew” for now. It’s all water to quench your thirst, but please note that this is Shangri-La. What kind of homestay am I staying in now? Baisuishan. The most outrageous thing is that when I checked out on the 19th, the hotel front desk told me that the information I provided could not issue a special invoice. I was really shocked at the time, because because of my work, I would go to cities all over the country. Such a big hotel, no electronic invoice? Now everything is digital, don’t you know? The hotel’s front office manager, Zhao Xiaozhe, didn’t say a word to explain to me. Not a lot, nothing. He just smiled and said to me, sir, I’m sorry, we can’t issue it. This sentence was played on a loop. There was no idea or attitude to help me solve the problem, but it couldn’t be issued. Let me figure it out myself. If I am willing to issue a general invoice, forget it if I am not willing. When I expressed my incomprehension and wanted to complain, Manager Zhao still smiled and said to me that it is your right to complain if you can’t issue it. I wasted half an hour at the front desk, but the problem was still not solved. In the end, it was Ctrip that solved it for me. I rarely say whether a hotel is good or bad, but I still want to advise friends who are planning to stay at Tangshan Shangri-La to be cautious. Manager Zhao is very powerful and has the attitude of ”you can do whatever you want, it's none of my business”, which is really confusing. As for Shangri-La, I called the official 400, but there is still no response. This is very disappointing!

It's so close that you have to come to Tangshan. I checked in on Saturday afternoon. The receptionist, Liang Xueqi, was very enthusiastic. Because our theme room was not ready yet and we were in a hurry, she upgraded us to a suite. The room was spacious and clean, and the overall experience was great. The location is also very central, next to Wanda Plaza, shopping and dining are very convenient, and it's about 20 minutes drive from Tangshan Station. Friends who come to Tangshan can choose InterContinental!

The hotel is located in the Nanhu Scenic Area. The small door on the first floor leads directly into the park. If you play late at night, you can go back to your room to rest. It's very convenient! The service is very good. There were some small episodes in the middle. The staff can give patient and thoughtful solutions. The service standard of star-rated hotels is still a thumbs up. The room facilities are quite satisfactory. Clean and tidy. It is recommended to live on the second floor or above. Personally, I prefer high floors. There are many breakfast varieties to meet people with different tastes. The hotel is child-friendly. There are small outdoor fitness and entertainment and indoor swimming pools of different depths. There is a lawn outdoors for beautiful photos. The surrounding environment is very good, the air is fresh, and the greenery is eye-catching!

In order to go to Tangshan Banquet, I found Nanhu International Hotel. It is very close and only takes 3/5 minutes to walk to Tangshan Banquet. It is surrounded by Tangshan Grand Theater, Cultural Palace, Art Museum, Nanhu Park. My mother likes it very much. The point is that I haven’t eaten in the hotel for too long. Such a good breakfast, with rich cuisine and great taste. The lobby is very clean and elegant. I can feel that the details of the hotel management are in place. The front desk of the hotel and the service staff on the 9th floor are very warm and polite. Like it, once you enter the room I was very pleasantly surprised at that moment, very warm and beautiful, every detail was done very well, thank you to the hotel for bringing us the warmth of home.

The hotel service is still as enthusiastic as ever. I have stayed here many times. The housekeeper Crystal is still very thoughtful and helps to arrange the room carefully. The return visit is also in place and pays attention to the guest's stay experience.

⛰️Tangshan: One of the best cities in Hebei Province, with a very high GDP, which can be seen from the city construction, clean and tidy, and good greening. 📌Hotel location: downtown area, the buildings next to it look good. We were in a hurry to spend the night and didn't have a chance to go around. It should be convenient to go anywhere. The hotel has a parking lot, which is very convenient for self-driving. 🍚Breakfast: The breakfast is very good, with rich choices. There is a stall that cooks fresh flour, and there are both Chinese and Western styles in the self-service area.

Old-style star hotel, good front desk service, the suite room I booked is large and spacious, with complete bathroom facilities, but the room is a bit hot and dry, it would be better if there is a humidifier.

The lobby is bright and is an independent area, so you don't have to worry about parking. There are both above and underground parking spaces. I booked a large bed, and Ctrip gave me a free upgrade to a suite, which was awesome! They also gave me free tickets to the hot springs, so you can take a bath and swim. Very cost-effective. When I came back from the hot springs at night, the TV signal was not very good, so I contacted customer service, and the service staff came to solve it immediately, which was great! Overall, it was good.

The location is very good if you don’t want to stay far from the railway station. The hotel is pretty close to the South Lake (Nanhu), Earthquake Memorial, and the Tangshanyan. The staff was polite and friendly and made sure that I could check in as soon as I got there. But my room wasn’t squeaky clean when I arrived. There were some makeup stains in the sink. The breakfast was nice, and there was even croissant and baguette, cereal and bran. But they didn’t fill the baskets when it was close to the end. I felt that if you didn’t wake up early you were going to eat just the leftovers. I think the highlight was the little delivery robot that just delivers everything at your door. And the fact that if you wanted more water, you could grab some on the table of your floor.
