Great location, very pretty interior decor, exceptionally clean. Breakfast was plentiful with variety. Ibrahim, Mehdi and Nadia were eager to attend to our needs. Potential guests should note that stairs to upper rooms are rather steep, there is no elevator; also, there are cats on premises. Very peaceful atmosphere

The hotel is within a quiet area of the Medina. It is charming and full of character. The room was comfortable and we slept well. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with any advice and recommendations. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to return.

From the moment we arrived Dar Sultan treated us as family . the breakfast was fantastic filled with fresh juices, fruits, pastries , eggs and coffee. We had a mishap , needed extra care during our stay. Mustafa stepped in to help us . Stocked fresh water, delivered goods and greeted us every day / night to check in. Thank you

Simply gorgeous riad in the medina. Beautifully decorated in antique Moroccan style. The room was smallish but quirky and very well appointed, with comfortable bed. We weren't offered the chance of dining in the riad but tea was always available.

Dar Sultan is a beautiful place to stay in the heart of the Kasbah in Tangier. It is easy to find and convenient for sight seeing and restaurants. I would not stay anywhere else ! The rooms are comfortable and lovely and there are fantastic views from the roof terrace. The Moroccan breakfasts are amazing as was a traditional dinner we had one night all cooked to order. Absolutely delicious and served with a good bottle of red Moroccan wine. All the staff are friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend Dar Sultan for an authentic and enjoyable stay.

Where to begin?
We stayed in the Charf room up on the roof of the property. The views of the Strait of Gibraltar as well as the city were nothing short of SPECTACULAR!!! There are a good number of steps required to climb up there...but worth every one of them once you do!
And everything else about Dar Sultan was just as good! Mohamed and Mustafa were like friends! And their efforts to help arrange for a day trip to Cap Spartel and Hercules' Cave made enjoying our visit so easy!
Breakfast was also very good!
Thanks to you all for making our three nights in Tangier such a memorable experience!

Best service and location
The Dar staff are amazing, the location is great and the ambiance is cosy. Good breakfasts too. Only downside is the super small showers (about 1/2m wide) but water pressure good and beds not as comfortable as they could be. We had panoramic sea view room and it was great but be warned you will walk 10 flights of steep narrow stairs to the top floor so not for anyone with health issues or bad knees!

A truly fabulous place - a dream really. A very personal look and ambiance of the true Tangier. Wonderful staff for this once in a lifetime experience. You would really love it!
