Motel Wellington Wodonga

After an unfortunate and unforeseen change in plans these guys were absolutely brilliant. Accomodating, personable and very very helpful. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. We’ll be back to stay!

They don’t really make it clear on the booking page they are going to take a $100 security fee which is fine but then they say they’ll deposit it back the day you leave. We left on the Wednesday so the following Saturday I checked and the fee still hadn’t been deposited back and as I hadn’t heard anything from them/received no receipt or notification that they had deposited it back I called to check up. The person who answered was so patronising, I just said I hadn’t received the fee back and they went on a tangent about how it’s not their fault and then explained to me like I was a child that it had to go through my bank and they can’t get into my bank account because it’s illegal. I don’t understand why she couldn’t have just said we deposited it back it may take a while instead of getting so defensive. Motel itself is what you would expect, dingy, fridge makes loud noises which keeps you up, dated etc. Would be ok for an overnight stay but dealing with the staff and trying to get your security fee back is not worth it.

Must be one of the most impersonal places I have ever stayed in. No one in Reception - machine outside that first of all informed me my room was not ready - two minutes later it was!!!! Once I mastered the machine the key dropped down and I got into the room. The rooms are clean, basic but practical and have all basic facilities required. They could do with a bit of an upgrade - lick of paint and modern toilet facilities. Booked in for three days but left after two - reception still shut. Apart from a cleaner, never saw or spoke to anyone.

This is a clean and tidy motel which is great value for money. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and found it to be fairly quiet despite having a room near the Main Street. The only bad thing was I booked through ******* and when I arrived the computerised checkin system didn’t seem to recognise that I had already paid. I eventually spoke to the manager and it was sorted in a reasonable and professional way, but it took a while as the venue wasn’t staffed.

Very thoughtfully equipped and welcoming room, with plenty of space and a great bed. Properly stocked with plates etc for a good DIY breakfast, and sensible liquid soaps etc. Appreciated the remote check-in in COVID-times. Remarkably quiet given the location. Thanks for looking after us!
