Extremely disappointed. The owner Brett should be ashamed for ripping off people in a state of emergency. We booked a room for this weekend, unfortunately we could not make it due to the state wide flood emergency. My grandmother called to let the business know that it would be unsafe for us to drive this morning and that we wouldn’t be able to make it due to road closures. She asked if we would be able to transfer the credit to next weekend to which the presumed owner was incredibly rude, refusing a credit and told her he has a business to run. Any other circumstances and this would be understandable as we respect business policy, however in a state of emergency, the Australian Consumer Law under Travel and Accommodation states Cancellation because of a natural disaster or other crisis – frustration of contract A crisis such as a bushfire or flood may lead some guests to postpone or cancel their visit. Your rights and obligations will depend on the situation. You are both released from the contract if, for example: ＞ the accommodation has been destroyed ＞ access roads have been closed, or ＞ the authorities have advised that the area is not safe to enter. We were told that the policy would not be changing and to “get a lawyer”. We were so disappointed in such unprofessionalism as well as the poor trea**ent of potential returning customers. Unfortunately we are forced to take this further.

The receptionist Nicky booked us in at the hotel, she was friendly and helpful providing maps and local advice. Our room was on the first floor with a balcony overlooking a building site... Perhaps should not have been charged extra for this privilege as we never used it! The room was clean, tidy and functional. Beds were firm, but there should have been a better pillow selection as ours were all flat as pancakes. Not sure about the glass shower room with duel purpose door. Can't leave the night light on as it illuminated the bedroom. Car parking at $20 a day was expensive as we stayed 5 days should have been discounted. Breakfast options were good with gluten free options available toostaff always happy to help. The hotel is within walking distance from cotton tree beach area. There are laundry facilities on top floor. The blue lighting edge to the building made it easy to find. Al's top tips Don't pay extra for a room with a balcony it over looks a building site, and it's not worth it. Take your own pillows as their are flat as pancakes. Parking at $20 a day is excessive and you can park in neighbouring streets after 6pm. Whilst in the area visit Maleny Botanical Gardens and Bird World and Australia ZooWe had a great day at both places, and for some fantastic views visit Montville you won't regret it.

We booked 3 nights at a powerd site near the pool, and so far it's been awesome! Water slides are so much fun and so fast! (opening times 9am-5pm). The river is beautiful too! It's a bit noisy with the traffic nearby but that's Ok. It's a lot smaller park than on the website so you can get around the place easier. It doesn't actually have a jumping plillow anymore just a jumping pad that they only blow up sometimes. Very nice and clean amenities also. The pool is heated so you don't get cold too! Would Denfinetly Recommend This For Your Holiday. P.S The laundry is at bit annoying you have to pay by phone and credit card

We arrived before reception closed (as advertised) but unfortunately had closed early due to Covid. Have the on-site manager a call who directed us to a key safe where we got our key and all of the information we need. Our room was modern, lovely, quiet and overlooked the lake. Was very relaxing watching the container ships in the distance out to sea & the stingrays, fish & swans that make the lake their home. It was clean, tidy and well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Signs were placed in 2nd bathroom and 2nd bedroom due to Covid. We didn’t need to use them. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the wifi to work, but this didn’t bother us. We were able to catch an Uber easily to/from Sunshine Coast stadium to watch the football (or an easy 45 min walk according to google). Sunshine Coast hospital was across the road. Cafes within walking distance, Shopping centre close by, as well as restaurants and eateries. Night quarter precinct next door to shopping centre, but we didn’t go. Short drive to the beach. Will stay here again if staying on the Sunshine Coast

Upon checking in, the foyer and reception area smells like cigarettes. One thing I can compliment this hotel on are the staff at check in who were very friendly and helpful. The room itself is very dissapointing. The carpet is dirty, the air con is only in the living room which just simply does not reach the bedroom. The fan in the bedroom creaks. The bed is so old you can feel the springs and it is almost like a trampoline. You would almost consider sleeping on the couch. The toilet is at the end of the hallway in the bedroom with NO DOOR. The shower head is so clogged the water kind of sprays everywhere except on you. The soaps and supplied shampoos, etc are fine and there are enough towels and linens. The room is however, sad and dated and simply depressing. The curtains are filthy and have holes in them. From 5am a dog, presumably somewhere in the complex, was barking non stop till 7:30am. It was loud and noisy, hot and humid. I felt really uncomfortable in this hotel. People live here, and you almost feel like an intruder and they watch you and look at you like you are a criminal on their property….! It’s an unusual, gloomy place and I would not stay here again.

Disapointed that on arrival, we were given a piece of paper, (which we did not read until day 2), advising that the room would not be serviced daily, (by that time I had put the towels on the floor to be changed) only if you stayed for over a week then your room would be serviced after day 3 or 4, you can ask for clean towels but at a charge. Also you must remove rubbish and put it in the garbage room shute on leaving, otherwise your credit card would be charged. I have never experienced this in any hotel/motel, even 2-3 stars, resort any where else in the world. We stayed 4 days, on day 3 my husband asked for more toilet paper and clean towels, husband asked why our room had not been serviced, we were told, it was a studio appartment, reception was quite flippant, but agreed to the request, although did not replace either, had to go ask a second time, told we did not have to pay for the clean towels.

We stayed at Verve for 10 nights from 27 December 2021 to early Jan 2022. Unfortunately, it rained almost every day except for 2 days. We were on the 6th floor (603) great views, large apartment with everything we needed except the Sun! This would be a great place without the rain, you can walk to Ginger Tiger Japanese, BYO, Sang's, BYO and Hathi Indian, BYO at Alexander Headland, you can catch the bus to Moom, which is BYO at Mooloabah. The only other disappointing thing about Maroochydore is that everything closes on a public holiday is you have no where to go locally! I got to the beach for a swim once!

The room was like stepping back in time but with all modern conforts, complementary snacks and coffee pods leave you not wanting. Great stay at Windward Apartments. Directly across the road from the beach with interrupted (but still great) views of the ocean. You can park the car and walk every where. Unit was comfortable and clean (but a little dated). On-site managers were friendly and helpful. Games area for kids/ families, with entertainment packs for kids- great touch!
