This is a pleasant little farmstay with a lovely couple running the place. Giovanni and Yutaka did a great job. They accomodated our late arrival, provided a ride to the start of trail (for a charge), and portered our luggage to Chikatsuyu for free. The meals were 5 star. The rooms clean and traditional. It was nice falling asleep to the crickets and frogs chirping.

The room was very clean. The landlady was kind and could communicate in Chinese using a translation software. I ordered her breakfast for 800 yen and it was very comfortable. I didn’t know what to choose from the meal. I just ate what she made and I was very satisfied. This B&B can pick you up from the station. I don’t speak Japanese, so I can only walk there. When I left, she drove me to the station. I liked it very much! The bus runs twice a day, and it’s difficult to take a taxi. The pick-up and drop-off is very pleasant.

The only drawback is that the toilets in the old Japanese house are a little farther away, located in the diagonal of the room, and there is no heating on the road to the toilet, so it will be colder, but there is a small electric heater in the toilet, so it is no problem to stay for a long time. It really feels like home. After checking in in the afternoon, my grandfather was sleeping. The girls were chatting in the warm table. The children studied how to play chess under the porch outside the house. The small courtyard owner also provided a lot of bird feed (actually melon seeds) in the bowl on the tree for the birds to forage. I really enjoy this nice country life. The boss also provided hot spring soup coupons to recommend where to go to the soup, the boss is also very good, although only simple English, but all the billboards or simple dialogue, than hand-drawn feet, no problem. And the boss himself opened the izakaya food nearby and it was good to eat. Because the homestay is not on the side of the road, it takes a short alley to arrive. The boss didn't quarrel with us early in the morning, and he made a rice ball for one person, and he put it directly and attached a note written by the boss, which is traditional Chinese text! And the words are super beautiful! The boss should be translating after using the translation software. Although there are errors in the use of words, it does not affect the warmth we feel at all. It is really super attentive to say that the rice ball is really super delicious.😋 The boss also attached yellow pickled radishes. I also feel delicious. It's better than what I've eaten outside these days! And the homestay is super close to Kumano Honmachi Daeshe, you can walk around nearby attractions.
