Best Hotels near Mahua Waterfall, Tambunan

upgraded from a double room to a family room because of our own mistake but it was a really comfortable and nice room! this is our view for 2 days. worth the money!! I highly recommend this cabin

***All kinds of hypocritical hotel party tourists are forbidden to enter ***for fear of insects and animals are forbidden*** The first thing to note is that the humidity in the Shenshan Mountain is very high, it can give you heavy fog at every turn, and the animal diversity in the Shenshan is also very high. Due to the various local architectural structures with unique characteristics, many small animals can enter the room. Yes, but most of them will not provoke people except mosquitoes and are mostly harmless. All ratings are relative, after all, there are only a handful of B&Bs that are so close to the mountain near Kundashan Town. As a homestay for climbing the sacred mountain, it is generally very good. The environment is still very comfortable, but the humidity is too high and the sound insulation of the walls is not very satisfactory. The hot water facilities are not as bad as other reviews. They may have been improved. They are cleaned every day, and they are still a little careful about hygiene. Breakfast can be full. It’s just over 1 km to the Shenshan Park Headquarters. If the weather is good, you can see the Shenshan Peak in the lodge. There are dogs, but they are relatives. As long as they know you, they will not be fierce. One night, there was no street light in the darkness. Walking back to the room from the Borneo Hotel far away, it was quite warm when the dog came out to lead the way at the entrance of the lodge. The mountain is really quite sensible.

The resort was on high ground and thus have a wonderful / fantastic view of Kundasang valley. The resort is a bit old. There was no free Internet in the room. The small 24 inc TV in the room was not working. No hair dryer and air con. There is 1 standing fan. I am ok with all Cleanliness was good.

Every room has balcony 😊 Don’t: No electricity upon arrival Bed linen were filled with dust, small small dead bugs. Quite old, can hear from downstairs footsteps, shower, television voice, people talking. Common: The road to Nikgold quite challenging ( as common as other areas in Kundasang, so it wasnt a big deal) No phone line, they do provide WiFi which is excellent Overall it was a pleasant stay. We drove to Mount Kinabalu for 2 nights stay at the 1) Peak Lodge 1 & 2 , 2) Summit Lodge & 3) Garden Lodge. The accomodations are comfortable, niece ambience with fire place ,has slow or no wifi connection at all. Some improvement needed in Housekeeping cleaning. Shower room in Summit Lodge flooding as the floor trap was filled with dirt & hair. Shower room wall tiles are dirty. Awesome view of the Mount Kinabalu from our Lodges. Breakfast is at Liwagu Restaurant , it serves Asian Buffet. Dinner is Ala-Carte , food and service are good. For activities , around the Park , we make visit to the Botanical Garden and Poring Hot Spring and make a further drive down to Desa Dairy Farm at Kundasang. All in all it was a relaxing stay !!

We booked through Agoda. Check-in was smooth with a deposit of RM 50 + Tax. There is no breakfast included and there is very limited choice of food in the cafeteria. From the main road, it is accessible one car per way and be careful as there is a steep road to the room from the receptionist. The room is well maintained but needs to be upgraded one day. Amenities only include towels, cups, and soaps. The TV connection was good too. Overall, it's a good stay.
