This hotel is an experience which we are so pleased to have taken. The highlight was Pedro who took us on numerous guided tours by Pedro. All the hotel staff were excellent, polite and professional. We stayed in room 7 (cabin/hacienda) the shower wasn’t the best but what can you expect in the jungle! The rooms have no glass windows (insect netting only) which means you hear the monkeys/birds and occasionally other guests, the electricity is turned for a few hours in the afternoon and there is no tv/ac which was part of the experience. We were not sure whether to stay 2 or 4 night but we were glad to stay longer as we got to see loads of wild life including white and black caimen, capybaras and loads more wild life and plants.

What an amazing place, set on the river in the Amazon rainforest. The hotel meet you from airport, transport you to an office near river which took about 30 mins. You leave your luggage here for the duration of your stay and then head by boat into hotel with hand luggage which took 30 mins. Check-in was quick, and you hear about your planned adventures during your stay. We stayed in a cabana room which was amazing waking up to all the sounds of the jungle. We stayed 3 nights and did a variety of excursions which we loved with our guide Uriel who was so knowledgeable. We saw so many amazing things and through or stay, howler monkeys, lots of birds, tarantula, caymen, turtle etc. Food was great and big shout out to Jorge who was such an asset to hotel. Leaving the staff (in our case the lovely helpful Grace) would check in your flight for you, provide boarding passes and help you check-in at airport 👏 What an amazing place would highly recommend. Improvements 1. You are provided with a refillable drinking bottle, but there is no water in the restaurant. You have to buy water which comes in plastic bottles. Come on Inkantera, why not provide glass bottles of water for free on tables. 2. The only place you can fill up water is from activity centre, why not have machines by reception and in restaurant 3. We did one excursion at 6 am, so breakfast was at 6am then came back 10am starving but had to wait until 12:30 for lunch. When we did similar in Borneo, you had light breakfast at 5, then had proper breakfast at 10 which made much more sense. Also why not provide some snacks for guests during day. You couldn’t even buy them in gift shop.

This place is magical and amazing. To get it out of the way: I have never been so hot in my life. The amazon is very hot and very humid. With that being said, I don't think you can get a more comfortable way to experience the jungle. We boated to the resort and the grounds were a beautiful nature reserves. Everyone had their own cabana that had an open view of the jungle. Each cabana was open air but enclosed with a very fine mesh. Each room also came with mosquito nets for over the beds. The generator turns off at certain quiet times but housekeeping leaves a lantern in the bathroom for overnight use. Falling asleep to the sounds of the rainforest is wonderful. The staff left us a note with a discounted spa treatment which was so sweet and special. We got "cooling" massages which were lovely - especially in the heat. All meals were provided in the main lodge and three course meals were included with the stay. Even though you can't leave the resort without a boat, you never go hungry with the amount of delicious food they feed you during breakfast, lunch, dinner and daily tea time. At the Eco Center, we learned about the project to preserve the rainforest and were offered enough free excursions to fill our days. We opted for an additional excursion (for a fee) of seeing birds migrate to a natural salt lick early in the morning and I would highly recommended it! Each cohort is assigned a guide and they all seem very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. Alvaro was our guide and he was awesome. All the staff were kind and welcoming. We are still daydreaming of being back at this resort and exploring all it has to offer! Some notable things: Bring cash for tipping at the end of your stay. Bring a headlamp (flashlights are provided, if needed). Wi-Fi is limited to non-existent but it was nice to get away from the phones for a bit! Bring a lot of bug spray. There is a lot of cool wildlife to see!

The rooms are large cabins, a short walk from the main building. There's power only around mealtimes, and the Wi-Fi only works in the main building. We had a great guide for the organised excursions. There's a good range of options for breakfast, but only limited options for lunch and dinner options, although service was good. Drinks were expensive, and the pisco sours were poor, perhaps watered down a bit.

What an amazing place! We have just had 3 nights here at the start of our Peru holiday. Our guide Saul was extremely informative, friendly and attentive. The service in the lodge was exemplary, suitably relaxed and a call out for the food. As a rather fussy vegetarian there was variety, and better catered for than in some UK restaurants in terms of balance and choice. We also were able to bring all our bags, nothing needed to be left behind (we had rucksacks, probably about 12kg each) which was perfect. The expeditions were just right. Some short, some longer. Wish we had seen more monkeys but that’s the way of the jungle I suppose! Would recommend very highly.

The good: Our excursion guide Pedro was absolutely incredible. He was very obviously the most knowledgeable guide working when we were staying with eyes like a hawk. With Pedro, he helped us spot numerous caimen, monkeys, various birds, tarantulas, scorpions, a sloth, and even a rare coral snake! His skill and knowledge of the plants and animals had our entire group mind blown. This was above and beyond my expectations. There were also a couple staff members, Carla and Kevin who provided excellent service. I watched Kevin mentor his colleagues (several of which has little to no experience) as well as carry his own weight as a server. Very great work. The rooms were also cute and physically had the appearances of a 5 star hotel experience, but they are as peaceful as your neighbors are because you are essentially outdoors with them. There was a couple who came in the last night of our stay for example that basically yelled everything to each other and it is like you are in one giant tent together in terms of noise. The not-good and awful: Overall not a 5-star experience. I am by no means a luxury traveler, we literally just came from hiking the Inca Trail, sleeping in tents, not showering for days on end, and the service we received on the Inca Trail as 10x that of what this resort has to offer. Many of the front desk ladies have zero experience in customer service and/or hospitality and were frankly useless in addressing the most basic things. At one point I asked one of the gals for some more tissues that are provided in the room at the beginning of your stay, she told me "she didn't have any" and when I said they are provided in the rooms, a dim light bulb went off that she could ask housekeeping. She said she would but as expected absolutely no follow-up. She and another gal stuggled to answer some basic questions about the massage services. Serveral of the girls' English was pretty bad, which I am sympathetic towards and will dip into my Spanish (which I like to anyway to practice) but instead of saying they did not understand or try to communicate in Spanish, they would recoil and giggle to one another, maybe out of nervousness, but non-the-less, very unprofessional. Then there was a server Angelo who was incredibly rude to me and another woman in my excursion group when we asked if we could move our tables together for lunch. He went on and on about how impossible it was, how we should have asked way in advance, and how inconvenienced all the other customers would be because of some "reservation" system that never existed because most of the time they just told you to sit wherever. Somehow the impossible happened in about 30 seconds, but not without a full guilt trip from Angelo. Nevermind that the place didn't even get half full during that lunch...I think it was safe to say that zero customers were impacted by our tables getting placed together, though I was ready to leap up with a prolonged apology to the inconvenienced patrons that

The lodge was very neat, the cabins were comfortable and the bathrooms and showers worked great. The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly, the food was top tier, and the excursions were very informative and well operated. We had Leon as our excursion guide and he was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure we were safe, comfortable, learning and having fun. Very knowledgeable guide!

We loved our large comfy cabana where we could enjoy the sights and sounds of the Amazon! The lodge is beautiful and the staff is amazing! They work together to make your experience memorable! Our guide Leon was one of the best we had while traveling in Peru. He obviously loves his job and he is so interesting and enthusiastic! Our dining staff deserve to be mentioned also. Kevin, Abner. Angelo, and David were so kind to us, treating us like royalty at each meal! Janet and Carla were so helpful and friendly too! Thanks to all of you for a wonderful three nights in the Amazon!
