The Beach Bungalows - Yoga and Surf House - Adults Only

The beach bungalows took our breath away! Your time at the bungalows is spent in the coziest bungalow equipped with a day bed and hammock for relaxing outside. The pool was an absolute life saver! As Canadians the pool was the perfect way to cool off from the tropical heat and so convenient to jump in at any given time!. The Bungalows are only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and a plethora of restaurants and cafes. The suggested restaurants from Nico and Leti were spot on because any and all food we ate was absolutely amazing! So much wild life inside and outside of the bungalow gates, as well as so many international friends made during breakfasts at the bungalows. But who takes the cake for making our experience perfect was Jill! She was so incredibly friendly and helpful! Whether she’s giving you top notch recommendations for dining and activities or chatting with you at breakfast she really makes you feel comfortable and welcome instantly in an unfamiliar place! It was the most amazing trip and we will definitely be making arrangements to come back in the future!!!

We just returned from our 6 night stay at the beach bungalows. It was the perfect way to spend our 15 year wedding anniversary. This place is a gem. Our bungalow was beautiful and very comfy. We loved lounging on our hammock after our beach adventures and soaking in the pool. Nico and staff were so kind and helpful. They really went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. The breakfasts were very tasty and on mornings we had to leave early for excursions he made sure to leave breakfast to go for us. They helped with transportation to and from airport, excursions while visiting and local restaurant recs. Everything was Pura Vida. I highly recommend this place!

The perfect oasis in the middle of Tamarindo. Lovely space; the bungalows surrounding the pool are so pretty and efficient and quiet. The covered space with the hammocks and clothes line are great to hang all the wet beach stuff and hang out in during the heat of the day. Pool is perfect! Slightly chilled to cool you off. Nico and Leti and crew are the best hosts. Delicous breakfast daily and use of the kitchen/fridge during your stay. LOVED every minute.

Lovely place to unwind and chill. Jill and Nico were so welcoming and made sure our stay was all we could wish for. We appreciated that the Bungalows are away from the hustle and bustle and truly relaxing the delicious breakfast each morning was the icing on the cake.

Very nice place, staff are very friendly. Jill was also super accommodating for us, especially regarding dietary restrictions; and happy to show us around. Perfect for both solo and couples staying in Tamarindo

Nico was super responsive and quick to reply to all of our questions. We got in late, and the self-check-in process was really easy. We loved that it was within walking distance to both the beach and the main street, but far enough away to be quiet at night. In addition, Nico provided recommendations for excursions and places to eat. Breakfast each morning was really good and the staff was very friendly. Although there was no air conditioning, we did not think it was needed. The ceiling fan was more than enough to keep us comfortable at night. We loved staying at the Beach Bungalows and hope to be back again!

We could not have dreamed of a more charming and cozy place to stay than at Nico’s Beach Bungalows!! The pictures are only a hint of what reality has in store when you first enter the property. The palm trees surrounding the pristine pool provide the tropical experience you can only hope for on a trip to Costa Rica. My wife, two kids and I agreed that of all the fun restaurants we visited in Tamarindo, the breakfasts at the Bungalows were our highlights. The location is absolutely perfect. A quick walk to all the action but just a pinch off the main ***** to avoid the noise and crowds as you rest during the afternoon or drift off to sleep at night. We will absolutely come back to visit Nico and his warm and friendly staff.

Our stay was wonderful. The pool was always refreshing and peaceful, breakfast was nice and Nico was a wonderful host, super helpful, friendly and good fun. He gave us some great restaurants advice. The place feels like an oasis from the minute you enter, it was great as Tamarindo is a busy town. We spent three nights there at the ‘Tree House’ which is a small room at the back of the main building on a second level and has the bathroom / mini fridge on the first level. It’s quiet and nice the only downside was that the room doesn’t have air-con and the air didn’t flow well in that part of the property. Tamarindo can be a loud/party town so if you sleep with open windows like we did you will be woken up a few times every night. Other than that was fantastic! we specially loved the balcony and the palm trees around.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very cute bungalows nestled amongst palm trees. Close to the beach and town. Nico was a wonderful host. He was very helpful with all our requests and gave great advice on places to visit, restaurants to go to and what tours to take. Breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommended.
