We happened to be here on a japan national holiday so the hotel was very crowded. Including the onsen. Overcrowded. But the staff was polite and patient. The onsen also provides many toiletries including face scrub and foot scrubber. Able to see nice sunset if u book a room with sea view

The transportation is very convenient! JR Uno Station is just across the road and provides access to downtown Okayama. It is only a four-minute walk from the port and a ten-minute boat ride to Naoshima. There was a lady at the counter who could speak Chinese. She provided me with a lot of help and recommended a delicious dinner. The breakfast is Western style, and the fruit and vegetable juices are particularly eye-catching. If you have food allergies, you can let us know in advance and we will prepare special dishes for you. Bottled water and snacks including corn on the cob puffs and Japanese tea are available in the common area. Things purchased from nearby supermarkets can also be placed in the refrigerator. Guests staying at the hotel can enjoy a bath in the famous Setouchi Onsen Tamanoyu hot spring in the Setouchi Inland Sea. They can also pay to experience cooking, bedrock bathing, SPA and other services. Pajamas, down jackets and umbrellas are provided for use when moving between the two places. Near to Miyanoura Port, coming from Uno Port. It is a mere 4 min walk from the port. There is no reception to inform you of the room. So we opened the doors to each building. My name was on a piece of paper near the door/ shoe shelf. If there is someone staying in a building, he/she/ they would have locked the door so no worries. Big clean and nice :)

Excellent place. I wish I had been able to book the following night. I had to move to another place, which was an awful experience compared to here.

The steep hill leading up to My Naoshima Lodge felt quite unwelcoming at first, but to my pleasant surprise, beautiful cats came out to greet us! Being an avid cat lover, that really was a great perk for me. Anyway, the hotel, being relatively new, had very clean facilities and I really had nothing to complain about except for the relatively earlier checkout time (10AM! Seriously?😭) compared to other accomodations and inaccessibility to eating spots. Definitely recommend stopping by at the only 7Eleven in Naoshima on your way uphill.
