Lake Annecy is a stunningly beautiful location, Camping Lanfonnet is ideally placed close to the beach and within easy reach of small bars and restaurants. The facilities other than being old are in good, clean condition, the site has a shabby old feel to it. When checking in I showed our ACSI card and was told the charge would be €32 a night, expensive by french standards but due to the location we decided acceptable. However, the next morning when I went to pay our bill I was told it was €44.40, the card machine was broken and cash only! I told the proprietor that I wasn't happy and would not be paying €44! After much moaning she dropped the bill to €35. Please beware when booking this site it could be more costly than you anticipated.

The electric is ancient , 5 or 6 pitches plugged into what should be one . Therefore no one can get power . I have complained snd the maintenance man arrived to sort it out but all he has done is add more extension reels !!!! Neighbours are complaining again that there is no power . Showers are cold and no soap to wash your hands with after using the toilet . 3 stand up toilets and 1 sit down one for the ladies yet all the men’s toilets were sit down ones ,,,,,, what’s that all about ? Us ladies need to sit down to wee otherwise we pee on our feet !

We stayed 3 nights at Le lafonnet. Location is quite ideal for the lake but the campsite is basic and very dated. The pitches are not marked and the owners think it’s ok to pitch caravans and tents centimetres apart (not a joke) like a car park. We could hardly get our windows open. The owner tried several attempts to make new campers pitch their caravan in the miniscual space next to our caravan and when we arrived back from the lake on one afternoon some French suckers had succumb to the tiny plot. When we tried to pay when checking out, this was a long ordeal. Between the old lady and the owner they seemed to go between camper to camper doing half a check out and not just serving one person at a time. I was told to ‘calm down because I had til midday to check out’ to which I replied that I had an 8 hour journey ahead and didn’t want to wait til midday. Would have expected over all better with everything for the money.

We spent 3 night at Camping Lanfonnet in August 2022. We had booked the location for its proximity to Lake Annecy. We had seen the poor reviews before booking but were still keen to book for its proximity to the Lake. Things didn't start well. It took over 30 minutes to check in on arrival after a long 6 hour journey. No idea why the check in process had to take so long. The only location on the whole trip that requested identification to be kept for the duration of the trip, not sure why. We were shown to our pitch, the smallest of our entire trip, in which we stayed in 12 locations. We were amazed how closely packed the pitches were. We had to ask another British family to move their motorhome so we could fit on the pitch. Clearly a desire to maximise profits from the site available as opposed to consider customer satisfaction. The toilet and shower facilities close to the reception area were not acceptable. Thankfully there were newer and higher standard of facilities closer to the lake. This site is in real need of an update. In hindsight we should have chosen to camp alongside the lake in one of the many laybys.

Camping Lanfonnet Couldn’t get a better little access to the water of Annecy! We feature this site quite a lot on our Vanlife Video of France on Youtube: Motherofgrom. A little rough around the edges this one, but worth it for the lake side spot you can access daily. Shout out to the little old lady and the gent on the bicycle who work their butts off at that place - it seemed to be just the two of them, and although service and check in was incredible slow I couldn't help but feel for their work load.

Pas d'eau chaude dans le mobil home, pas d'eau chaude dans les douches collectives, pas de ventilateur (et bien sûr pas de clim),pas de WiFi, pas de réseau, mais...du bruit ++ (mobil home collé à la route), de l'électricité douteuse, des couvertures qui ont l'âge des mobil home, une fenêtre sur un tronc d'arbre, et une saleté.....+++++ Sympathie des salariés mais la gérante très âgée...ne s'étouffe pas par son amabilité.... Dommage le lieu est au top, mais là Gestion calamiteuse

En las duchas del primer módulo, si alguien está lavando los platos, por ejemplo, no sale agua caliente. Ofrecieron una plaza cerca del segundo módulo y pasó algo parecido: si alguien estaba en el fregadero, el agua de la ducha salía a cuentagotas. Uno no puede arriesgarse a ir a la ducha y que, de golpe, se quede sin agua o le llegue solo agua fría. Llegamos muy tarde con una camper (eso hay que reconocerlo) y nos ofrecieron dormir en el aparcamiento, lo que es de agradecer, pero al día siguiente al decirles que no nos íbamos a quedar por el tema del agua, nos cobraron 48 € por la noche anterior, cómo si hubiéramos podido disfrutar de un día completo en una parcela. ¿Es o no es un robo?

Nous avons payé plus de 100€ (sans électricité) 2 nuits pour 2 adultes et 1 enfant de 8 ans. Les emplacements ne sont pas délimités et nous sommes les uns sur les autres. Les sanitaires sont très vétustes et sales ! Il y a des traces d'excrements sur les murs qui n'ont pas été nettoyés durant notre présence. Des campeurs ont fête un anniversaire jusqu'à passé 23h30 sans que les propriétaires n'interviennent. Nous estimons qu'il en est de leur responsabilité de faire respecter les horaires (comme l'indique un courrier du maire daté de 1990 affiché dans le bloc sanitaire...) Bref très mauvaise expérience.

Passer son chemin est le meilleur des conseils. Nous avons attendu 3h pour enfin avoir accès à un emplacement. L'électricité est à refaire entièrement. Ça fait peur. Le seul avantage : hyper bien placé pour un accès au lac. Le pire des inconvénients : la vieille propriétaire qui ferait mieux de passer le relais...
