You couldn't score a better location in the city center. The main department store is 5 min walk away, the beautiful Old Town is a 10 min walks, not to mention all the great restaurants and coffee shops that you only have to step out for. And for anything that's further away, the tram stop is pretty much next to the building. The apartment was very beautiful, stylisg and clean and remote check-in and check-out is great for those who want to be private and get a feel of actually ”living” in the apartment. The bed was super comfortable, the towels soft and there were even great quality soaps, shampoos etc in the bathroom (from Rituals). Everything you need in the kitchen as well + a coffee machine with beans. Even some books to read. My absolute only complaint would be the check-in and check-out times. 3pm check-in and 12am (like most hotels have) would be so much more convenient, especially when on vacation. NB! Keep in mind there's no elevator, so if you have a lot of stuff or a baby with a pram etc, that's just something to consider.

The room is at the end of the corridor, and the wireless internet connection is not very good. The hotel breakfast is okay, there are instant noodles, and there is free drinking water in the room. It's an okay stay!

The hotel is quite satisfactory, not up to the four-star standard. The location is good, very close to the ancient city, because it is along the street, so it will be noisy at night and in the morning. Hotel breakfast is not bad. Also, the two nights we booked with Ctrip did not know why the price was almost 1,000 more expensive.

Very ice and cozy place to stay. Rooms are really small, probably more suitable for one person not a couple. Everything modern and comfortable, very nice and modern bathroom, only their mattress was too tough (not American style, ha-ha). They have a very nice lobby with bar and a restaurant . Really close to everything: 2 min drive from bus station, 5-7 from airport, less than 10 min walk to the old city. What I didn't like: staff charged me for an early check-in almost the same what I paid for one day. And I had problem with charging my phone, the socket didn't work or maybe I didn't understand how to use it, it was more complicated than just insert you charger into socket)))) But anyway this hotel is certanly much better than you expect from economy for less than 40 euro per night. If you travel to/from Tallinn by bus or air and want to be closer to bus station/airport, if you're solo traveler or couple but need hotel for 1-2 nights and don't have much luggage, I highly recommend this place

Villa Kadriorg is a budget friendly hostel/hotel that is on a direct bus route to the old town. If not for major upgrade works to the tram network then I believe it would also be on the tram line.
I found my room comfy enough, if a little warm. It was a very warm few days in Tallinn though. Sadly, my room was right above a bar playing music until past 10pm. If you needed an early night to catch transport then that might be a problem.
There's free WiFi and a small shared kitchen. The shared showers were a little grubby, but I suspect that is to be expected. There was also a bit of noise from some of the younger guests after 10.
Sounds like I had a miserable stay but that is not so. Just be aware that the price will attract youngsters.
I'd say that Villa Kadriorg is good value for money and a fine place to rest a weary head after a long day walking around beautiful Tallinn.

GGuest UserFrom check in until check out it has been a remarkable stay. The Suite had a stunning view, the snack delivered to the room was delicious, the mini bar had a good selection of drinks, while the wines tasted very cheap. The only thing I need to criticise and why I cannot give 10 points is the Lounge experience. First the check-in counter did not give me an invitation to the lounge while I have a qualifying status and only after checking eligibility online I asked for permission to access. During the period of the stay in the lounge there has been no staff, so whenever a snack or drink ran out there was no-one to re-fill and also no-one to clean up. On the other hand breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. Also I liked the long time to enjoy breakfast, as I am not a morning person. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and we are looking forward to be coming back some time in the future.

GGuest UserThis if former ”Ulemiste hotel”, recently rebranded to ”Mercure”. If not mistaking, some period during and post-covid it was not functioning. From interior/exterior point of view nothing much changed, even colours and furniture remained original from previous hotel. Food quality during breakfast slightly improved, didn't try restaurant onsite, but must say bar doesn't have draught beer, only bottled. Bed was comfortable, sound insulation reasonable. The only downside - permanently changing temperature of water from hot to cold. Parking free for hotel guests. 100m from hotel - large ”Ulemiste” shopping mall with many shops and places to eat. Overall would recomend, if you don't desperatelly want to stay in old city. Myself would stay if price offer is attractive only.

I loved the concept of the coworking space, DIY room and Yoga room.
The only negative comment I have - I didn't appreciate breakfast staff member trying to talk with us only in Russian. She didn't know English and I'm not sure if she knew Estonian. Slightly upsetting.

GGuest UserHotel City Yard Inn is located in a quiet yard at walking distance of the ferry terminal and the Old Town. The Tallinn railway-station is at 1,4 km. Built as a apartment hotel in 2017, City Yard Inn offers rooms with kitchenette as well as small apartments for longer stays. The hotel is adequately outfitted and modern. Best is to book directly at the hotel site. Free Wi-Fi. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was no-frills furnished and decorated, with table & chair, TV on the wall, and a good single bed. In the room a small kitchenette with stovetop, sink, fridge, microwave and pots & pans for 2. We had a small separate bathroom with toilet, washbasin & shower. All was very clean. The buffet breakfast is modest but OK: bread, rolls & toast, ham & cheese, omelette & hard boiled eggs, butter & marmalade, fruit & juice, cereals, milk & mineral water, tea & coffee. We found hotel comfortable and very quiet and we had a good stay. Excellent value-for-money. Recommended.

My 4 night stay at the Hestia Hotel Barons was an amazing one. For starters, I liked the spacious room and bathroom. Very clean rooms. Attentive staff, and great continental breakfast with a whole assortment of food to choose from. I also liked the fact that the hotel was close to all the major places of interests via foot.

Room: A little small, but very clean, the bathroom is also very clean
Breakfast: There are many kinds, and there is also fish to eat, not only ham. I only stayed for two nights, and the breakfast dishes were exactly the same for both days, with no change at all. If you stay for a few more nights, you will really get tired of it.
Facilities: The room facilities are not too new, but they are not old, and the hotel facilities do not look bad. At this price, this kind of accommodation is worth it.

It is in an excellent location in the middle of the Tallinn Old Town, has comfortable but typically-smallish double rooms, wonderful breakfasts, and warm ac. I would recommend it to couples. However, we would not stay here again. Even though we booked and were fully paid more than 2 months before the hotel stay, we were told on our arrival that our room had been, ”double booked”. We were dispatched to a room with smaller than single beds positioned end to end in a room that resembled a school camp facility. When I suggested that this was unsatisfactory, the front desk person stated in front of other guests, ”That's too bad”. After walking the old town and returning, the manager had placed us in a better room for one night and we then had our pre-booked room for the next three nights. Additionally, the lift does not extend to the 4th floor so it was a struggle carrying large suitcases up stairs and across other uneven floors. Finally at check out, the receptionist insisted that our original payment was rejected by ”their system” so I had to pay again. She withdrew the allegation after I showed her a stamped receipt. She then retorted, ”must have been a system error”. In my opinion, two different staff members could benefit from some serious service-industry professional development. However, other staff were very friendly and helpful; it was a very central location; and the breakfasts were delicious.
