This is my partner and I's second time staying with destino, we love the hotel, the staff are wonderful and you never have to wait long to order a drink or food by the pool. The breakfast selection is great, plenty to chose from and good quality. The overall vibe at the pool is brilliant for friends and young couples, the dj, music and views are amazing. We also love the evening parties and the area the hotel is located. Sadly the rooms are not quite up to scratch, when we first stayed at destino we had a destino room which was very small and uncomfortable. This time, we were here for our honeymoon so decided to pay the extra to stay in a grand room. The bed was really comfortable, large and cosy and we slept great every night. The room however was small and the shower as well as the sink leaked so the bathroom floor felt like a swimming pool at all times. We also let the hotel know in advance that this was a honeymoon booking and because of this and the fact that we were returning customers, I did think that maybe we might get a free upgrade or at least some rose petals, chocs, champagne on arrival. There wasn't any upgrades or anything of the sort on arrival sadly. I did head back to reception to explain that I was disapointed and they did send some cava but it is a shame that I had to make that complaint first after already being in email conversation with the hotel explaining that this was for our honeymoon. We were offered an upgrade to a suite but at 400 euro per night equalling to 200 Euro extra on top of what we had already paid to stay there which we just couldn't afford to pay for on top. Overall I would stay at destino again, the good's outweigh the bad's here and the pool, restaurant, bars and location are all incredible. I do feel though that the rooms really do need a refurb and it would be nice to feel like you are more appreciated as a returning customer or if you are staying for a special occasion.
