Initially I was underwhelmed by Shambala - over all it was a little bit dated and not as polished as some photos may suggest …. BUT … after spending a couple of days there I appreciated: Great location - over looking sea with steps to a little bay. Huge quiet beach 1 min walk away. A handful of reservations within 5 mins or 20 min walk to the small tourist ***** with bars etc. Transfer takes about 60 mins on main roads mostly. Staff - thank you for looking after us. A lovely team that are always around to help. Rooms - big rooms that get cleaned every day. A little bit dated - but I would now say retro! Everything works, big modern TV, air con, big comfy bed, fridge, kettle, good water pressure in shower. Nice little terrace to escape the heat. Shared space - nice gardens surrounding bungalows, good pool - not massive but great for a dip, plenty on space to sun bathe and relax - not crammed like some modern resorts. Food - breakfast is very good, buffet and order from menu, very generous portions. Lunch and dinner are good also - eat inside or alfresco.
