We stayed here for 5 nights from August 10th to August 15th as a family of 5, consisting of a couple and 3 children. The owner's good sense of distance and consideration made for a comfortable trip. The room was not new but clean, and although there were many insects such as geckos, ants, and spiders that are unique to Iriomote Island, we were not bitten by mosquitoes. Towels and other linens can be changed every day or whenever necessary, so we were always able to use them comfortably. The washing machine was free and the dryer was available for 300 yen, which was convenient. It seems that a light breakfast is free, but since we have a slow morning, we didn't eat it and instead bought a bento box for brunch at a supermarket near Uehara Port, but it seemed like most of the guests were eating it. There was a refrigerator in the common area where you could buy beer, juice, and tea at the same price as at the supermarket, and the 100 yen frozen pineapple was especially delicious! Iriomote Island has few accommodations where you can secure privacy, and I think this is a good accommodation among the many private accommodations that are mostly guesthouses or luxury hotels. There is only one izakaya in the area, so if you rent a car, you can expand your range of activities and have more fun. You can pay with MasterCard.
