The apartment is conveniently located near the train station, which provides easy access to public transportation. While the surrounding neighborhood is pleasantly quiet, it is still very convenient, with restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. The spacious balcony offers lovely views and is a wonderful feature, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Overall, this is an excellent value and I would highly recommend it based on the location, amenities, and beautiful balcony view.

Very new and cute hotel. Got the cheapest double room and there is space to open luggage, unlike other chain hotels. Breakfast is sufficient and nice at a cute cafe downstairs. There is complimentary coffee and tea at lobby. Overall I love this hotel except there is no towel at hot spring and no bottled water in rooms. These are small touches that can complete a stay yet lacking.

Extremely well located if you want to be right next to the train station and bus station - my room overlooked the tracks. Provision of washing machine and dryer is a superb bonus inroom as are the full cooking facilities. The hotel intelligently provides basics such as oil, salt, coffee, tea and even a couple of detergent sachets for the washing. Strangelt though, no knives or other cutting implements of any kind. A tip if you intent to cook. The Family Mart opposite is basic, but there is a huge supermarket under the tracks and just beyond MacDonalds where you can get international food as well as Japanese. Slightly dreary corridors and a reception crowded with people waiting for their room to become available. But on the plus side they let me into my room early as I was unwell at the time.

The hotel is only 1 block across the JR station with many restaurants around the area, less than 10 minutes leisure walk to the historic area. Room is very well maintained and spacious, with comfortable beddings, strong showers. The hotel is very responsive with my emails and questions, I feel that they are really trying their best to accomodate my request with occupant change that we really appreciate. Breakfast is adequate with a good selection of hot dishes, Japanese and continental. Overall a great hotel in Takayama

6 We used it at work in the month. The front desk was very helpful with kindly explaining the recommended store for dinner (drinker). The joint bath had time constraints, but I used it early in the morning. The washroom is a small bath with only 3 places, but when I used it, I was alone, so I was able to enter it relaxingly. Breakfast was a lunch box for corona convenience. Unfortunately, Bento and miso soup were not delicious, but they left most of them. The accommodation fee is cheap, and there are many taverns and ramen shops around, and I think it is a convenient inn.

A new hotel just built in front of Takayama station. It is a stay type hotel, but artists are decorated everywhere and fashionable. This time, Superior twin. The room itself is not particularly characteristic, but there is a sofa on the window side and it can be relaxed. This sofa is a bed, so you can stay for three people. Electric pots, empty refrigerators, washing dryers, microwave ovens, etc. are also complete. Recommended for long stay. The bathroom is small in the unit. Especially the toilet is small. There is a comfortable public bath, so I wanted to relax the toilet part only by shower. Amenities are only toothbrushes, and amenities are available on the first floor. Shaving, brush, tea bags such as tea and green tea, cosmetics, cotton swabs, cotton, etc. The public bath is also fashionable with designer specifications. There is also an open-air bath. You can enjoy two different design hot springs in the men and women replacement system. The atmosphere is like a public bath in a luxury inn. It doesn't seem to be in front of the station. There are also view lounges and foot baths on the top floor. Convenient location and recommended for sightseeing and business. The staff has a level difference depending on the person. Because it is a new hotel, is it possible?

We were lucky to stay at Mercure Takayami on their opening night. Everything about the hotel was above our expectations. Rooms were a very comfortable with attention to detail. Having USB and USB C charging ports for our electronics next to the bed was very convenient and meant we didn't need to search for our Japan power adaptors. This hotel has been well designed with a focus on local traditional carpentry and joinery skills. When you book this hotel make sure you book a room that includes access to the private Onsen. We had an open-air experience while we watched the snow from our private onsen. Breakfast had an extensive range of Tradition Hida dishes and Western choices, with different options available each day. This was a great way to try Hida Beef Curry and Hida chicken cooked on a traditional grill. Staff were very helpful going above and beyond with their dedicated and personal service, even searching the internet for me to find a store that sold Yama Cola. We will be back to stay again and will try to stay longer next time.

Free ice cream is available after your bath. There are hotels closer to JR Takayama Station but it’s still a reasonable walking distance.

This hotel provided great service and clean accommodations. I love that hotels in Japan provide pajamas and toothbrushes. This hotel had two public baths. It's nice that they have one bath where the water is not as hot. We had the dinner buffet. It included American and chinese offerings. You receive a ticket for one serving of the Hida beef. I thought the food was good. I like that the portions are small, so you can try a lot of things. We also had the breakfast buffet which included Takayama specialty items too. There is a large souvenir shop in the hotel, so you are able to pick up gifts. I thought the prices are comparable to other gift shops. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the train station. It is a 7 minute walk to the train station, so it's not so bad. They only have two shuttles that go to Takayama Jinya (government house) which is across the bridge from Sanmachi Suji. Otherwise it's at least a 20-25 minute walk. I wish they had more shuttles to that area. There is not much to look at on the way from the hotel to Sanmachi. As Takayama becomes more popular with tourists, most of the hotel staff and store owners are able to communicate in English. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the hotel and would stay there again.

JJohnWe tried to book this lesser known hotel in the area and guess what, we were glad we did got the opportunity to stay in this lovely hotel. The staff was kind and sincere even though they tried their best to speak converse with us in english. The room we stayed in was those like ryokan kind with a toilet in it. Shower area are shared among other guests which is linked to a shared indoor and outdoor onsen areas as well. They have a private onsen as well which you do not need to book, just need to lock the door outside to inform people that you're using it. The best part of this experience is that we opted for dinner and breakfast and we were just blown away especially the dinner course menu. They provided like 10 different type of dishes for you to taste which includes the iconic hida beef as well! Everything for one night is so affordable around SGD $200+ which is definitely worth it!

Hhata_yamaI stayed because it seemed to be good with word of mouth. I booked a new building cherry blossom mezzone room. It was good to be an infant fee for elementary school students and children's menu. The room was upgraded to a tatami mats on the first floor, 6 tatami mats on the second floor, and 10 tatami mats. The view from the room was good. Wi-Fi was fast. The hot springs were just a good temperature. In one day, there was a little change in temperature. The view was good, the smell was good, and it was a good hot spring. Dinner and breakfast were private rooms, and there was a toy for children to play. The dishes were delicious, such as ”Yakiniku & shabu shabu”. The amount was moderate. The children's dishes were not available and the taste was good. Breakfast was available for either Japanese food or sandwiches. The sandwich is said to be a roast beef of HIDA beef, and I think it was better to have originality here. All the hot springs, dishes and rooms were good, and I was able to spend comfortably with a fine response. In addition, the whole building was non-smoking and comfortable.

Aangush167We had a fantastic two nights in early June enjoying Yarimikan’s hospitality. This was our first experience of a Japanese ryokan but we are sure that we completely “lucked in” with choosing Yarimikan. It was an amazing experience and will certainly live on in the memory. It was an easy bus ride (about an hour and half) from Takayama, we walked from the bus stop to the property (only 10 minutes) although Yarimikan offered to pick us up. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and always available to make your stay as comfortable as possible - truely lovely people. The location is stunningly beautiful, quiet and secluded with the outdoor onsens all down by the river, all offering something different but each lovely in their own way. It poured with rain while we were there but that was fine as the river was “raging” which made the views from the outdoor onsens even more dramatic. The food was sensational and the two evening meals we enjoyed rate up there with two of the best meals we have ever had. The sleeping arrangements are very traditional Japanese, hard beds on tatami mats with hard pillows, not for everyone but part of the experience and are fine. We lived in the Yukata they provided for the whole time we were there which was so comfortable and immediately made us feel at home. It was quite sad to take them off and leave them behind us when we left! Thank you to all at Yarimikan for being so kind and making our stay with you so special.

GGuest UserThe hotel is 15 minutes walk from the railway station bus stop, and the scenery along the way is beautiful. The hotel is run by several elderly people. It is already a 65-year-old hotel. Starting from the boss's grandfather, the house has a history of 125 years and is very Japanese. The ornaments in the house can be shot for an hour. There is a special doll, and I am fortunate to see the dolls of the boys' day. The old people are very enthusiastic, the breakfast is delicious, it is served by a Japanese grandmother. It is really like a grandmother in anime. It is very similar to talking and walking. The breakfast is very harmonious. I still remember the fish.

GGuest UserThis was our first time at a ryokan and it’s going to set the bar really high. As another reviewer noted, Oyado Koto no Yume embodies the best of hospitality. Right upon arrival, our hosts were warm and helpful. Would also note that the lady whom I think is the owner speaks very good English if necessary. I’ve noticed that the staff will also speak basic Japanese slowly if it’s clear that you’re learning the language and are struggling to speak it but trying—I really appreciated that :) You’re asked to take your shoes off upon entry, which being Asian, I love. I think the host also wiped down the wheels of our suitcases. This little place just goes beyond and above with all the nice things they offer additionally (price inclusive) to ensure you have a lovely stay. There’s a yukata service, where they let you choose a yukata to wear inside or outside, as well as plush coats hanging in the lobby area that you can borrow if it’s cold outside. They have aromatherapy burners with a variety of scents that you can choose, just ask the front desk for an aroma pot. The room itself was pristine and immediately instilled in us a sense of calm. There are little snacks waiting on the table, a fridge that’s actually a fridge and not a minibar so can actually be used by the guest, a full set of cups and plates along with a kettle and coffee pod machine, and the host will explain that you get sleep yukatas and specific face towels as well. If you have the Japanese-style room, the staff will make up your futon while you’re out. They left a sweet note on ours and also a put a pitcher of ice water on the table. It was these little touches that made our stay really pleasant and memorable. Would also mention that if you’re there longer, or it’s raining, there’s a small manga library downstairs and it looks like you can also do origami, which will get proudly displayed in a glass cabinet. There’s also a bathhouse and you can reserve a private one for a small fee. Staying at Oyado Koto no Yume felt like being a welcome guest at home. After we checked out, we were given a set of Takayama postcards as a gift. Would highly recommend you stay here if visiting the charming town of Takayama, and experience the best of Japanese hospitality. I can’t wait to go back. ありがとうございました~

GGuest UserFrom the time I arrived by car to the time I checked in, I felt a welcome hospitality. There was a coffee service in the lobby lounge. The room was a room plan, and it was a Japanese room 8 tatami & wide edge. In the inn, as I spent almost on the wide edge with a chair, the window was small facing the parking lot, the ceiling was diagonal, and the head hit the threshold, so I said this room might be a translation. The Japanese room was normal, and the room had two keys and Wi-Fi. yukata can be selected for women. There is also cold water and electric pot. The bath was a source of Ni kind, with an open-air bath of sulfur spring and simple spring, and there were two open-air baths and two cherry blossom baths. From the simple spring of the open-air bath, the mountain of Hotaka 々 was desired. The inner bath is sulfur spring. The hot water flowers are sinking. The open-air bath was also large and impressed with the very good hot spring. The laundry wash area has amenities. Dinner was in the large hall and the space between tables was also sufficient. The Hotaka Kai seat was satisfied. Especially the cold tea bowl steaming of HIDA milk and HIDA mozzarella and the pottery plate baking of HIDA beef were especially delicious. Also dessert (cheese cake, caramel pudding was delicious, HIDA melon and pine were sweet. sake was first asked for a cold sake of local sake, but later, a cold sake of local sake was 3 books and is currently discounted at 2000 I noticed that there was a circle later and I had a 3 book set. I enjoyed the difference between the sake 3 seeds and each taste. The meal attendant feels good, and the chakkaman is also on the table. So it was good to bake meat or bake at your favorite time. Breakfast was the same venue. If you are young, you may not have a volume, but it was a good amount for us in mature years. There is also coffee and tea service. It is a hotel in front of the ropeway in Hotaka. I thought it was good to stay at a hotel with good hot springs, meals and customer service, and to come far.

GGuest UserI searched for accommodation in Okuhida Onsenkyo to see the Northern Alps on the Nihotaka Ropeway, and I was attracted to the atmosphere like a classic hotel and the advertisement of an open-air bath outside the facility, so I booked a room on the mountain side. did. The weather forecast was that the weather would recover from the afternoon, but I was worried that the clouds in the Northern Alps would not clear up. Check in at the classic atmosphere as expected and the East Building where Iron Man 28 and Iron Arm Atom will welcome you, enter the room on the 2nd floor behind Iron Man 28 and open the window to shine white. The Northern Alps I also saw Mt. Yarigatake at Mt. 々. Unfortunately, I was worried about the electric wire from the 2nd floor, so I went up to the 4th floor and took a picture at the Yarigatake observation place. Crossing the road, I enjoyed the spectacular view of the Northern Alps while soaking in hot water from the mixed bath open-air bath, which is located down to the river by a small cable car. Even if it is a mixed bath, it is safe because both men and women wear bathing. I wanted to see the starry sky from the mixed bath open-air bath if possible, but I gave up because of the cold. Dinner was served with local ingredients such as HIDA beef sushi sushi and salty grilled rock fish. In the morning, after entering the large communal bath in the hotel, I ate breakfast with Hida beef Hoba miso grilled and I didn't leave it behind. The hotel looked beautiful from the Shin Hotaka Ropeway.

However, my partner complained about garger for 2 hours at midnight, or he was sharp and I was also reluctant to drive alone far the next day, and I was reluctant to take any care of it. Check out without breakfast I went back directly, and it was the first time I had such a terrible eye in my life. It's a very good inn, but it's broken! !! I'm sorry, ... The trip I decided on is always a trip destination, and my partner broke the trip with a buggyre that doesn't make sense, and I don't want to go on a trip again, Well, but I'll go again with the original Kiami. I wonder if I'll do it until I die, the inn is the best! There is no doubt!

Very Good
GGuest UserAs the inn's brochure says, ”It feels like it happened a long time ago.” This is an inn where time passes by. The name “Hina no Yu” is “Hina No Hina”. The room was large, about 12 tatami mats, and had a bed, table and chair set. There was also a wide veranda and a porch surrounding the room. The restroom also has a standing restroom for men, and I mentioned that it's rare for an inn to have a men's restroom. When I asked later, I was told that this room was only for boys. Even though I turned off the air conditioner, there was a nice breeze coming in from outside, and I could hear the chirping crows, and we both took a nap after taking a bath. The hot spring had a slight smell of sulfur. The indoor bath was hot and the outdoor bath was lukewarm, which was very comfortable during this hot season. It is a good hot spring with flowing water directly from the source. There are no lotions in the bathroom, so it is better to bring the amenity set provided in your room. There is a rest area near the bath. As I was drinking cold tea, a cool breeze came in from outside through the screen door, and I felt nostalgic for summers before, thinking, ``It's so cool in the evening.'' It's too hot everywhere now. Takahara-juku in the summer is nice and cool. In the rest area, videos of Hotaka and Mt. Yarigatake were shown on the TV, and I watched them while relaxing and drinking something cold. Dinner was served in a private room in a different room. The hinamori was a colorful appetizer with lots of different kinds of seasonal summer vegetables. The sashimi was rock fish and local salmon, the grilled fish was grilled sweetfish, and the ceramic grilled bite-sized steak was Hida beef. The rice was unique and could be eaten as is. A glass of local sake was 660 yen and went well with the food. Breakfast was also served in a private room. The overnight-dried puffer fish and tofu were delicious, and I ended up having a second helping of rice with grilled magnolia miso. After the meal, we had coffee in the lounge in the front area. The coffee cup was in a cup warmer, which was a nice touch since I like hot coffee. Especially in the winter, when you're servicing coffee, the cup gets cold and the coffee ends up lukewarm. In the lounge, there was relaxing classical music playing. It's a shame because it's only cash-only when paying, or because I'm a cashless person. I felt that the quiet landlady and the host had a firm concept for the inn. I entered the hot springs at 2pm and left at 11am, and it was a really relaxing stay.
