3-Star Hotels in Takayama

Vicinissimo alla stazione, si raggiunge in pochi minuti l'edificio, si prende la scala mobile e si sale al primo piano dove è presente la reception. Le stanze doppie sono nella media delle stanze giapponesi, quindi piccole, ma tutto sommato tranquille. Nell'hotel è presente servizio di lavanderia fai-da-te ed è possibile (anche se non ci sono andato) usufruire dell'onsen; difficoltà di comunicazione con il personale della reception. La cosa più simpatica dell'hotel resta il sarubobo gigante (ossia la bambola-amuleto tipica della cittadina) che staziona all'ingresso della reception. Consigliato per chi è di passaggio per Takayama e per chi vuole una base di partenza per la visita al caratteristico paese di Shirakawa-go.

The hotel is nice, close to the Station, on a quiet street. It is on the other side from the old town, but it gives the place more quiet. I really appreciated the coffee machine in the morning, that made good, strony coffee. The „morning box” for breakfast was quite substantial. The hotel otherwise advised they don’t serce meals. There is a lounge for use during the day and an onsen that can be reserved for half an hour. I had a big room with it’s own onsen bath (main reason why i chose that hotel). Still it was a bit expensive for what it was. I also did not appreciate the comments made about why when i’m traveling alone i got such a room. But the people were generally quite nice.

Country Hotel Takayama is the perfect home away from home in Takayama, Gifu Japan.This hotel is located right across the Nohi Bus Terminal which is right beside to Takayama Train Station. When you get off from the bus, you will immediately see the building. Aside from their perfect location, this hotel also has a KONBINI (are Japanese convenience stores) Family Mart at the ground floor, open 24 hours. Morning markets, Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, Old Town Street, Hida Kokubunji Temple and Nakabashi bridge are a few tourist location you can easily access by walking (10-15 minutes) from the hotel. I was here last February 24 to 26, 2020. The room is quite spacious for me, got a single room type but I think it can accommodate 2 people in it. I was able to booked it online through Agoda.com for Php 4,024.78, not bad! It has complete basic amenities you can find in a room including a comfy sleeping robe. Room is super clean and smells so good. Considering I wrongly booked the smoking type room. The only downside I had about the room was that the heater was broken. It was so hot inside, thanked God it was winter time so I just slightly opened my window. So cold breeze from the outside can get in. Overall, Country Hotel Takayama is HIGHLY RECOMMEND aside from their perfect location. Staff are very good, speaks English and really helpful and accommodating. Their Manager helped me booked a taxi who is going to picked me up at the highway on my route to Gujo Hachiman. Because taxis in Gujo Hachiman are booked a day before your arrival and they don’t speak English at all. And If you’re a Filipino, you are most likely going to bumped into one of our kababayan who is working on this hotel. So far, she’s the only Pinoy here and she speaks Bisaya, from Davao City. Free parking is large and there is a second parking lot. There is also a convenience store opposite, which is convenient. In the lobby, you can enjoy the atmosphere of Hida Takayama, such as the retro colors of Hida Takayama and the decoration of Hanamochi. The room is double and you can't feel the size alone. You can spend your time comfortably with equipment such as independent air conditioner and large TV. You should take a bath in the large communal bath and open-air bath. It is a weak alkaline (pH8.2) hot spring, and the skin is smooth. The open-air bath with natural stones is comfortable with the murmuring of the river and is lit up at night. I was impressed that the flowers of the hot water were in bloom. Breakfast is buffet style. The menu is normal, but there are many vegetable dishes from Hida Takayama. Surprisingly, I'm happy to have delicious morning curry. I was satisfied with the hotel with three beats of rooms, hot springs and meals.

Good location nearby the trainstation & bus station too! The rooms are relatively small but manageable. Breakfast is included; a Japanese style breakfast, tasty! Opposite of the hotel also a very charming Cafe. And from the hotel also easy to discover the area and walk around! The staff was friendly but the hotel is more set-up as to do it yourself! There is a public bath with different times for men & women. And you can choose your pillow. In the public area downstairs there are some vending machines and some drinks are free! Good deal for that price!

Nice hotel, location is close to the bus station. Many places to eat in walking distance to the hotel. As with most hotels in Japan, they NEVER allow early check in. Even if it’s 5 minutes too early, you stand and wait until the power of the key is handed over! Breakfast was nice, coffee was not. Only two laundry machines in the whole hotel. Overall a nice hotel in Takayama.

The hotel is quite good and the reception is very warm. Booked breakfast + dinner at the hotel, delicious and rich. The bathroom is public, divided into indoor and outdoor, there is a small pool not too big outdoor, bathing is comfortable. Thank you for the hotel here. The child's scarf forgot to the hotel. The free transfer bus is operated at intervals of 30 minutes ～ 1 hours from the west exit of JR Takayama station, and guests can use it without reservation. There was a front desk, lobby, restaurant and open-air bath on the first floor, and the restaurant had dinner business, but this time I was allowed to use breakfast only. Although it was originally a reservation in a single room, it was good to have an upgrade to a twin room on the fourth floor at check-in, and the room was large 々 and I could sleep comfortably. It was good to be away from the urban area of HIDA Takayama and to taste the resort feeling at a reasonable price, but there were no restaurants and convenience stores around, and if you don't have a car, you will be around Takayama station in advance You need to finish the meal or buy it at takeout.

The room is very good, the spa is small, the speciality is family customization, authentic Japanese style, meal food is delivered to the room, privately enjoyed, very close to the station, 10 minutes walk, morning can go to the city next to the city, is the morning market, it is highly recommended

From the time I arrived by car to the time I checked in, I felt a welcome hospitality. There was a coffee service in the lobby lounge. The room was a room plan, and it was a Japanese room ８ tatami & wide edge. In the inn, as I spent almost on the wide edge with a chair, the window was small facing the parking lot, the ceiling was diagonal, and the head hit the threshold, so I said this room might be a translation. The Japanese room was normal, and the room had two keys and Wi-Fi. yukata can be selected for women. There is also cold water and electric pot. The bath was a source of Ni kind, with an open-air bath of sulfur spring and simple spring, and there were two open-air baths and two cherry blossom baths. From the simple spring of the open-air bath, the mountain of Hotaka 々 was desired. The inner bath is sulfur spring. The hot water flowers are sinking. The open-air bath was also large and impressed with the very good hot spring. The laundry wash area has amenities. Dinner was in the large hall and the space between tables was also sufficient. The Hotaka Kai seat was satisfied. Especially the cold tea bowl steaming of HIDA milk and HIDA mozzarella and the pottery plate baking of HIDA beef were especially delicious.
