Location is good, free drinks after 3pm. Love the onsen and they have laundry facilities within the onsen. One thing to note - the reception took note of my request to clean the room but it was not done at the end of the day. Hotel room (including shower) is a bit small but it was manageable.

The hotel is very close to the Takayama station and Nohi Bus Center. The old town is in walking distance of around 10-15 minutes, with many different types of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. Impressed by the hotel providing rice soup bowl every night for hotel guests.
The hotel room is very clean and neat. Surprisingly it is very spacious too.

The apartment is conveniently located near the train station, which provides easy access to public transportation. While the surrounding neighborhood is pleasantly quiet, it is still very convenient, with restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. The spacious balcony offers lovely views and is a wonderful feature, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Overall, this is an excellent value and I would highly recommend it based on the location, amenities, and beautiful balcony view.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tabino Hotel while exploring Shirakawago, and it was the perfect choice! The hotel is ideally located, making it easy to access the stunning village and its famous thatched-roof houses.
What truly impressed me were the many free amenities offered, from the on-site hot springs to complimentary snacks and beverages. The breakfast was a highlight—delicious and plentiful, with a great selection of both local and international dishes. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. If you’re visiting Shirakawago, I highly recommend Tabino Hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay!

A family of 6 with 4 kids. We stayed in 2 rooms and they granted our request for rooms next to each other. Rooms were ok with working hot shower, towels, toothbrush and toiletries. Coffee and tea were also free. Japanese breakfast was a welcome surprise and we got to enjoy a snowy view of Takayama station while sipping freshly-brewed coffee.
The hotel itself is old-ish and so are the facilities. There's a laundromat, massage chairs and a drugstore beside the hotel. There's also a Family Mart convenience store that's walking distance. It is directly across Takayama Station so it's in a very convenient location!

It's a very beautiful, very comfortable and very new hotel. It's just that the location is too remote and there shouldn't be any restaurants around. However, there are cup noodles and other items for sale downstairs, and the prices are very reasonable. The view from the hotel room window is farmland, which is very beautiful.

Good location nearby the trainstation & bus station too! The rooms are relatively small but manageable. Breakfast is included; a Japanese style breakfast, tasty!
Opposite of the hotel also a very charming Cafe.
And from the hotel also easy to discover the area and walk around! The staff was friendly but the hotel is more set-up as to do it yourself! There is a public bath with different times for men & women. And you can choose your pillow. In the public area downstairs there are some vending machines and some drinks are free!
Good deal for that price!

The location of the hotel is so convenient as it is just infront of the Nohi Bus Centre and the Takayama Train Station. I has ramen every night as shops are near the hotel. I had a great room during my stay which had a great view as well. Family Mart is just downstairs of the hotel too! Room was cleaned everyday. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone!

The hotel provides a shuttle bus to and from JR Takayama Station. This time I also booked a one-night stay with two meals. The buffet in the evening was very crowded, and if you are traveling alone, you will only be arranged in a corner, not by the window where you can see the snow. The hot springs are also average, and there are too many people, so the experience is poor. Compared with this price, the cost performance is not high

FFluffyangelzGreat apartment, huge space, convenient location.
Good for 8-10 pax
3 separate toilet units with 1 specifically for male use.
However only 1 shower area is with the onsen bath.
So those taking onsen bath will delay those who wants a shower and onsen bath fits 1 so will need to wait to use.
Not recommended to lug the heavy luggages up to level 2 as the stairs are slightly steep. Take note for elder folks.
GGuest UserI have stayed in many Japanese hot spring hotels before and after, and this one is the most attentive one I have ever stayed in. The details are very well done, it is very clean, the bedding is very soft, and there is no smell (many hot spring hotels have musty bedding). I slept very soundly. The hot spring is very comfortable, and the private bath and the private bath in the room are alternately soaked, which is a whole spiral to heaven. I will consider staying here in the future. Thank you to the owner and his family for your attentive hospitality.
CCunminangelaTraditional Japanese hot spring hotel, booked a room with private bath, the room does not have a separate bathroom, there was a shower next to the private bath on the balcony, I felt that I could not take a shower and would freeze to death, so I had to go to the big bath to take a shower~
The service was very thoughtful, very traditional Japanese feeling, but English was not very good, this is also very traditional Japanese hahaha.
The food was very delicious. I have been to Japan so many times, and I can say that this is the best one-night-two-meals meal. It is exquisite and lasts until the next day hahaha
The hot spring is still very comfortable, but the only drawback is that there is not much good scenery, because it is a hot spring hotel on the roadside, it is blocked by a fence, and the open-air bath can only look at the sky, but the stars are very bright, it is still very good.
Overall, it is worth the money, recommended!
PS. People call it Yamanogojuku, not Inoyama Hat😹
JJennyTake the Nohi bus to the terminal. Although the journey takes about an hour and a half, it is definitely worth it! The hotel is right next to the cable car, so we went to play the cable car the next day. The top of the mountain was not cold, but the snow was thick. Adults and children had a lot of fun. The hotel is retro, one night and two meals, stayed for three nights, breakfast and dinner are not repeated, and the various methods of Hida Wagyu are really delicious! The set meal is very delicate, one course at a time, and I feel full after eating the whole set. The hot spring is very good, natural, and there are open-air baths for men and women. It is an unforgettable experience to soak in the hot spring in the snow! Don't miss this hotel, you won't be disappointed!
GGibe napI am very impressed with this place. It looks very friendly, cheap, clean. I only use it to sleep because it is late every night. There is only one bathroom for men and women to use together. Separate male and female areas. Good.
토토라미Of the three accommodations I visited during my trip to Nagoya, this one was the most soundproof and well-equipped. I booked the last remaining room, so the room was quite small, but the bathroom and toilet were clean, and the bedding was comfortable and cozy. The hot springs can only be used once a day after making a reservation. It wasn't a hot spring like Gero, but it was worth a try. The common lounge was free to use until 11 p.m., so I could have a light snack and sake at night. However, you have to clean up after yourself! It was very difficult to drag my suitcase to and from the station on a snowy day, but... I would like to come back to this accommodation again.
雲雲尼王A small hot spring hotel. I really feel the hotel's care. Compared to more prosperous areas, I prefer this kind of remote small hotel. I feel that the hotel wants to do every place carefully. Although the price is cheap, there are many details. Everything is well done. For example, there is a self-service snack and drink area in the lobby, which is available 24 hours a day. Yukata for children is also provided. The hotel rooms are very clean. I wonder if they have been renovated, so the rooms are very new and clean.
KKritsapornIt is a hotel where you can experience traditional style of Japanese room and shared onsen. The hotel was clean, both in the room and shared spaces. Amenities provided were sufficient. It is very close to the Hida village (open-aired museum) which is very nice, though a bit far from the city center where located other attractions. So, it is more recommended for those travelers who have a car to drive around.
The breakfasts came in traditional hida style set (i guess), and were delicious, especially the hoba miso.
The staff are nice and friendly too! Love it!
GGuest UserThe hotel is old but not dilapidated. There are many shopkeepers' collections placed next to the passage on the first floor. It has a sense of history and can be appreciated while walking. There was a young man at the front desk who was polite and patient. I informed him that the ceiling light in my room could not be turned on. Within 10 minutes, he carried the ladder and tools to my room on the third floor. However, he realized that I had made the wrong light switch. I asked him He apologized, bowed and left with a smile on his face, without giving me an ugly look. The room (8 tatami mats) is quite large and warm, clean and has no problem, and the wifi is also strong. The portions are just right and the food is delicious. There is some moss on the bottom of the ”Moon” private hot spring pool that is slippery and needs to be cleaned. The public hot spring pool has two types, indoor and outdoor. It is quite large and the water temperature is moderate. It is very comfortable. I will come again if I have the opportunity.
