Great value for a short overnight stay. The rooms are tiny but modern and clean. The bathroom is quite tiny if you are tall as it’s the size of a closet. The bonus was the onsen and the free breakfast.

Good location nearby the trainstation & bus station too! The rooms are relatively small but manageable. Breakfast is included; a Japanese style breakfast, tasty! Opposite of the hotel also a very charming Cafe. And from the hotel also easy to discover the area and walk around! The staff was friendly but the hotel is more set-up as to do it yourself! There is a public bath with different times for men & women. And you can choose your pillow. In the public area downstairs there are some vending machines and some drinks are free! Good deal for that price!

Although the room is small, it has complete facilities and is close to the station. Free drinks and hot springs are good. Breakfast is also rich.

The large public bath is small. If they are selling the hot spring, I wish it was bigger.

Many hotels were full during the Takayama Festival, so the triple room we booked was the largest in the hotel but also very small (there were actually two toilets), but fortunately there was only one suitcase. The breakfast room on the first floor was also very exquisite, and the breakfast was also OK.

Although there are local one-day tours that can go to Takayama and Shirakawa-go. But I was pressed for time and didn’t want to spend the whole day just looking around, so I planned a 3-day and 2-night trip to Takayama, with one day in between to go to Shirakawa-go. Since it was convenient to take the Nohi bus, I chose a hotel near the station. Advantages: The location is convenient, 5 minutes from the station, 7 minutes from Takayama Jinya, and 12 minutes' walk from Miyagawa Morning Market. The hotel includes a buffet breakfast (not many types but filling), free coffee soda in the afternoon, and a free mini bar in the evening. To be honest, there are hotels and free bars that I don’t need to buy wine glasses to drink in Gaoshan Old Street. Disadvantages: There are not many programs that can be selected on the TV in the room. When I go back to the hotel at night, I can only watch my mobile phone. The TV only receives a few local radio programs. The room was dark and there was insufficient light. The room is small and there are not many places to store items. The room will not Daily cleaning is arranged by requesting at the front desk before 10 o'clock every day, but new towels will be provided every day. No free bottled water. The hot springs are the same for men and women, but the time for men and women to use them is staggered. The disadvantage is that girls use the hot springs for a shorter time.

The location is excellent. Just walk for 2 minutes from Gaoshan Station to the old street across the street and you will see the hotel sign, room code lock, coffee in the lobby, and free juice. The indoor hot spring on the first floor is very small and can be used by men and women in different time periods. For girls, it is from 7 to 9 pm, and then it is all for boys. It is not until the next morning that it becomes a time for girls. Thinking about the stinky men who used to take a bath before, they have to get up early. , I guess no girls will go😪

At the end of the year, I was in a hurry to find a destination to travel to in the new year. I chose this hotel because Hida Takayama didn't seem to be crowded when traveling by train. It's about a 5-minute walk from Takayama Station in the direction of Takayama Jinya, and it's very convenient as breakfast is included and there are convenience stores and pubs nearby. The room is a business hotel, so honestly it's small. There is no problem with heating the air conditioner, which is a concern at this time of year. This is a bathhouse within the hotel, but you don't need to make a reservation and you can enter as you like. However, please note that the men's and women's baths change depending on the time of day. I took a bath around 3am. The lockers in the changing room had locks so I felt safe. There is only enough space for 3 people to wash in the bathroom, but there was plenty of distance from the wash area to the bathtub, and the bathtub didn't feel too small. The hot spring warmed my body and I was able to sleep again. For breakfast, there was more variety than I expected and I was able to eat a lot and was very satisfied. I would like to stay again next time.

I really like it. Convenient. Breakfast is very delicious. Close to the station. Close to tourist attractions. You can walk to every point in Takayama. It's an easy stopping point for day trips to Shirakawa-go, Kamikochi, and Gero Onsen. There are buses or trains to all the important sightseeing spots.

After arriving at the hotel, the receptionist was polite, the check-in process was simple and fast, the parking arrangements were good, the room was as good as ever, very small, and the breakfast was as good as ever. Personally, it was very rich. I will stay here again.

The hotel is located on the way from JR Takayama Station (or Nohi Bus Station) to Takayama Jinya/Sanmachi Street, which is very convenient. We are a family of three, two adults and one child, and we booked bunk beds. Although the room area is a bit cramped, it is still much more comfortable to sleep on than a large bed (Japanese hotel beds are generally not big). The hotel is semi-self-service, and the room is password-locked. Toiletries and facial masks can be taken from the first floor, and pillows can also be brought up from the first floor. There are different soft and hard options, which is very user-friendly. The restaurant on the first floor serves drinks at any time, and plum wine and other options are available after 6 o'clock in the evening. Breakfast is free, and the variety is not bad. You can eat 70% full before going to the Miyagawa Morning Market. The hotel can also take a bath, but there is only one pool, which is used by men and women at different times. It is still very refreshing to take a bath after walking all day.
