Five stars, there’s not much to say. It’s excellent in all aspects, including simple traditional Japanese culture, excellent service, and incomparable hot springs. The Mori no Yu has a great view, and there’s also a private hot spring where families and couples can spend time alone. The catering is also very good. There are six or seven dishes for dinner, and the portion is so big that you can eat until you touch the wall 😂

There is no need to make a reservation for the private hot spring, and there is an open-air hot spring with a good view; the riverside hot spring has a good view, but the water temperature of the female hot spring is too low (it should only be in the 30s, it is too cold to soak in winter), and the large hot spring is just average. The room is large, but there is only a bathroom and no shower room. You have to go to the hot spring to take a bath. You have to take your luggage back to the room by yourself, and you have to go up a flight of stairs. Unlike other Japanese-style hotels, they will help you send your luggage to the room. Meal time is strictly defined, not early and not late. Drinking tea is also stipulated in a limited area and cannot be changed.

The hotel environment is very private and beautiful. It is surrounded by first-class snow scenery. The room has a large table and a heating pad, which is very comfortable. The hot spring is very comfortable. There is a private hot spring without making a reservation. You can just go to the hot spring when it is closed. However, each hot spring is far from the hotel.

The hotel's outdoor open-air bath is very unique. It is also one of the few baths on the riverside in Fukuchi Onsen. Because there are not many rooms, it is quite quiet overall. It looks like an ideal hot spring hotel. The food is slightly inferior. , maybe due to the local ingredients, but overall it’s good.

I am extremely satisfied and my stay was extremely comfortable. I am very grateful to the dark-skinned employee who introduced us in detail in English! I will come back and stay a few more nights next time I have the chance!

I chose this hotel in Fukuchi Onsen. I am very satisfied. The hotel is very big. Hida beef is served for dinner. The Robata dinner is also very special. There is a hotel in the hot spring. You can also walk to the public hot spring. The scenery in front of the public hot spring is very good. There are rivers and waterfalls, and hand-made rice cakes for breakfast, so delicious!

Oh, what a joy this place was, after a few days in busy Tokyo! We stayed at Soene for two nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Okushida Onsen is a very small "town" so it goes without saying that Soene is in an isolated spot. It sits on a river, and some of the onsens overlook the river. There are several different onsens, including private ones that you can use on a first come basis. The onsen bathing is only part of the experience though. The rooms are Japanese style, which was a new experience for us. Both breakfast and dinner are traditional Japanese (Kanseki) meals, and were in as of themselves an experience we will not forget. In all of its beauty it needs to be noted that the ryokan is in need of a bit of an update. It's not something I saw at first, but as you finally have taken in the general beauty of the place and of the hotel I noticed things such as the carpet fraying in some places. This is nothing major, and I would happily go back to the hotel for another stay!

It's been a while since I last visited this hotel. It's my favorite inn where I've stayed several times while traveling alone. This time I took my wife for the first time.During summer vacation last year, I took her to Katsuragi no Sato in Fukuji Onsen as well, and it was very well received, so this time I went. I decided to stay at this hotel. The atmosphere from the entrance was very good and I felt excited. The room was quiet and calm, so I was able to stay comfortably.I immediately went to the private bath and found that it had been renovated and was better than before. I was able to enjoy a relaxing bath in the eel climbing.I was able to enjoy a delicious dinner cooked in the hearth.Thank you for a wonderful stay.
