The hotel staff are all so kindㅜㅜ It's a traditional Japanese style room, and I've only stayed in 4-star and 5-star hotels, and I made a reservation here to go to Takayama in the middle, and this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I really want to go to Takayama again just to stay here.. I highly recommend it! The facilities are clean, the heater is warm, and the hot spring is small, but there weren't many guests, so I used it alone. The breakfast is also delicious!!

The staff was friendly and personable. Once you come in after a long day of train rides, they welcomed you and it was like coming home. We were treated to hot tea and matcha and a light cracker snack. As we drank, they told us of the great spots to visit in ghe town and the history of the ryokan. The room was very warm and comfortable as we all slept on the traditional futons and mats. We were provided yakutas for our experience and we experienced the Onsen for the very first time; it was very relaxing indeed. In the morning, we were treated to a wonderful Japanese breakfast. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. It snowed that morning and we were not able to call far a taxi. The staff drove us personally in his car to the downtown areas. Our only regret is that we stayed for one night. We’ll be back again.

Our stay was warm and friendly. Haruka went far beyond meeting our needs with her thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity. She is a fine representative of this compassionate culture. We would be happy to return to this ryokan just to see her again. And yes , the Osen was fabulous.

The service was spectacular. They greet you and ease you into the Ryuken experience with charm and attention to details. The room was great, the hotel was pleasant, the staff were amazing from start to finish. Always looking for ways to make our stay more pleasant.

Fabulous stay at Iroriyado Hidaya a traditional Japanese Ryokan. This was our forst experience staying at a traditional Japanese inn. The hostess was terrific explaining how all aspects of our stay would work. The futons were super comfortable to sleep on and it has a terrific bath house. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.
