Business hotel about 5 minutes walk from the station. Is it renewed? There was a clean feeling and it was a good impression. The room is not large, but there is an outlet in the bed and the charge is good. Wifi is sensitivity and speed is sufficient. The bath in the room is made like a home unit bus, and the size and usability are good (the toilet is different). I'm glad there is a washroom. Breakfast is surprising in this class business hotel (there are common instant salads and boiled foods). Breakfast is good value for money. The unfortunate thing is that the public bath has to go to the opposite annex. I will cross the street so I have to go with ordinary clothes and it is troublesome. I didn't go to the public bath after all. I think it would be better to book an annex if you want to enter the public bath. The hardness of the bed was just good and comfortable.

Due to a sudden business trip, I stayed at the Silk Hotel Annex on the first day and the main building on the second day. The room is a reasonable size. Doutor coffee potions, hand towels, homemade pickled plums, etc. are full of hospitality. The large public bath is very comfortable.

Breakfast and dinner are good hot springs. There are many choices. You can book the tickets for Starry Sky Land at the counter with pick-up and drop-off. It is a 5-minute walk from the bus station. If the hotel has free pick-up and drop-off, the hotel will send it to the bus stop on the return trip. The counter and the driver are very friendly. Good to help us determine the location of the stop sign again and again. Although the hotel staff had poor English and communication difficulties, but they were very enthusiastic, because there were not many shuttle buses in the countryside and the routes were complicated. Stayed over for a night as it was one of the hotels nearest to the shuttle bus terminals to get to Komagane. Location wise, very convenient, only about 10 minutes drive to the bus terminal/ bus stops. There is also a COCO curry restaurant just beside or if you can take the car out, it will be just a few minutes drive to many sauce-katsu don places - this is famous in the area. It was a little pricey considering the current situation but at least everything was clean. Size of the rooms were standard Japanese size. Free parking too. There is a manmade onsen on the ground floor. Seems just like a big bathing spa though since the onsen isnt natural. Went at a good time and the onsen was empty. That was good. Covid-19 prevention was good, plastic disposable hand gloves were provided for the breakfast buffet in the morning. Overall, just another normal Japanese chain hotel but the location made up for it, if you are heading to Komagane.

We stayed here one night at the end of a walk along the Nakasendo way from Magome to Tsumago. The hotels shuttle bus picked us up. It’s about 20 minutes drive. I was given a choice of yukata to wear, but not my husband (as if he cared anyway!) We had a Japanese style room with a small balcony and after a delicious dinner in our own little dining cubicle, we came back to our room to find futons laid out on the floor. We didn’t try the onsen and unfortunately the private onsen was fully booked until 10pm. Breakfast was also Japanese cuisine. The serving staff were delightful. There is a guest lounge where you can help yourself to tea and coffee and newspapers. We were driven to the train station after breakfast. I’m not sure what other activities are available if you were to stay longer. One slight negative- the ensuite bathroom in our room was a bit dated. Overall, it was a great experience.

The hardware is not necessarily the best, but the software is top-notch. There is a girl who speaks English at the front desk, and there are waiters who can speak Chinese in the restaurant. Communication is no problem. Before check-in, I sent an email in English to inquire about check-in and food requirements, and then there is one in the lounge. Unlimited craft beer/coffee/charcoal-grilled dumplings, and any drinks for dinner, including alcohol, very luxurious! In addition to public hot springs, there are also free private hot springs, free stargazing activities at night, and floor mats/coats to lend to you, which is very considerate! This is a hotel that I am very satisfied with and highly recommend!
