A very beautiful hotel, the sunset and night views are superb👍A rare hotel with a great view. I bought a 5-day Kansai JR round-trip ticket at a great discount! Will come again next time I have a chance! Nearby is the 84th temple on the Shikoku Zen Route.

First time coming to Shikoku. The scenery of Takamatsu's mountains and seas is pleasant. The proprietress of this restaurant is friendly and helpful. She speaks Japanese and English well. The price is right. I highly recommend it. It's worth the money.

We were walking the Shikoku Henro as 3 travelers and splurged on a stay at the Hotel Bokaiso. It was one of the best decisions and the highlights of our 6 week walk. The accomodations were clean, luxurious and views absolutely stunning. Two of us had a couples room and our third person had her own room. We were all so happy we were almost giddy. We had requested vegan dinners for two of us and the hotel served us a delicious hot pot meal with mushrooms and all kinds of other fresh vegetables. There is a really interesting structure next to the hotel that is spectacular to walk through at night and free to the public (Yashimaru-Yashima Mountaintop Communal Facility). Plus the lookout in front of the hotel is not to miss. The attached pic shows that lookout. This was one of our top 3 stays in Shikoku out of about 60 different ones. Three thumbs up with our highest recommendation.

The views are admittedly sumptuous, and the room was comfortable, but in other respects our stay was far from what we'd been hoping for. It's in a weird location, served by very few buses, inside a kind of rundown 1960s amusement park including a heart-breakingly cruel aquarium. The breakfast is a joke - a can of swet tea & a rice ball from a convenience store - and all the public areas are closed off. It's not really a hotel at all, let alone the best in Takamatsu
