Hotel Grateful Takachiho Reviews

The location is convenient. It’s just 5-10 minute taxi ride to Takachiho gorge, 9-minute walk to Amaterasu railway and 12 minutes on foot to Takachiho bus center. The room is big enough, clean and comfortable. The food’s delicious! You must try their chicken nanban and deer meat. Above all, they have the nicest, most accommodating, and approachable hotel staff. I highly recommend staying at hotel grateful Takachiho. Grateful for the best hotel stay. Again, the staff are amazing!

The hotel's location is very convenient, and there is a family mart convenience shop at the basement of the hotel, with great selection. With a 10-min drive, you can get to the beautiful Takachiho Gorge to canoe and see a beautiful waterfall or Kunimigaoka Viewing Platform for a beautiful sunset

Staff are very polite and friendly. There is a 24 hours family mart convenience store right down stairs so it is very convenient. In terms of amenities, towels are a bit old but overall they are clean.

Clean and comfortable, the room was more spacious than what I have expected. Location is 'relatively' easy to access IF you are driving. Most restaurants are quite a walk away (5-10 mins walk to the nearest ones) but there is a Family Mart downstairs if you do not want to venture out too far.

Overall OK for an overnight stay with Family Mart just downstairs to grab a bite as no walkable eating places nearby

Location close to restaurants and amaterasu railway. Rooms are clean but a bit old fashioned. Info sheet given by hotel very useful for traveling and eating around. Value for money

Clean and comfortable room. Location is good if you drive. Breakfast just OK

Guest room newly renovated. Normal room size and comfy. Hotel car park was full during our stay but there was other park log nearby.

The room is more spacious than I thought. There’s a convince store on the basement floor of the hotel

The room equipment is simple and very standard Japanese style. The environment is not bad. The breakfast is simple and there is no exquisite food. It is a simple breakfast. It’s not too far from the attractions and it’s convenient to drive and park.
