Shanxi Hotel must be given a five-star rating. We arrived very late at night, and the hotel was already lit. The courtyard was ancient and the hotel lobby was magnificent. This is the best and value for money hotel I stayed in last 12 days trip from Beijing, Datong, Taiyuan, Pingyao, Xian. The room is nice, breakfast is good, hotel room even provide you with a washing machine in tge room with detergent free. Highly recommended and great for longer stay. Cheers

It's just that Taiyuan is too dry, the air conditioner is very warm and dry, and it would be better to have a humidifier.

It is not far from Taiyuan Station and various attractions in the city. The room is clean and tidy, and the bedding is very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and has both Western and Chinese buffet options. Plenty of choice here! Service was fantastic for this stay. The second day we had a power blackout for an hour or so because of engineers across the street. The staff dealt with it very well and made sure I was looked after. Swimming pool is good too. Recommend.
