Meworld Hotel Taipei Main Station

Best thing about this hotel is its convenient location and easy access to Taipei MRT. Hotel is good for the price and if you just want a clean room to stay for the night. My room had no windows but it did not bother me at all as I was out most of the day anyway for the 8 days that I was in Taipei. There are plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby so buying food is not a problem. The only downside to this hotel is that the walls have poor sound insulation. Overall however, i find this to be a good budget hotel, especially for a single traveler.

Pros: • Strategic location • Free luggage storage • Common area & pantry • Cold, adjustable air conditioning • Super affordable for a private room Addressing some weakness: • Soundproofing: Surprisingly decent. The walls are thick, and the carpet helps. You might hear doors slamming (they’re heavy), but none of us woke up during our stay. • Pantry aircon: no aircond, but room aircon is strong and adjustable. • Cleanliness: Excellent. No bugs or mites, and toilets are clean. Daily towel change and trash removal. • TV quality: Low resolution. • Staff: Efficient and bilingual (Chinese & English). No issues during check-in/out. • Elevator wait: Can be slow during peak times (hotel is on 7F), but manageable if you plan ahead. • Room size: Compact but practical—enough to open suitcases and hang clothes. Standard for Taipei at this price. Conclusion: Not perfect, but for the price, Meworld offers great value. A solid choice for budget travelers seeking a private room in a great location

Check-in was fuss-free. Hotel occupies 2 floors (Levels 7 & 8) in a tall building. On the ground level, there was no indication or signages that would help one locate the hotel. Need to remember the photos of the entrance of the tall building and go straight to Level 7 to check in. As there were only 2 lifts that serve Level 7, customers checking in and out will have to wait quite a while to get from ground floor to hotel check-in counter and vice versa. Photo attached shows the many rooms on each level. Room size is understandably small to squeeze that many rooms.

Awesome location. Rooms are pretty good. No frills hotel. Please bring your own toiletries as not provided. Not much communication with the staffs as they don’t really bother. Good luck.

I stayed at Meworld Hotel recently and found it to be very affordable and conveniently located, just a short walk to restaurants, convenience stores, and MRT/bus stations, which made getting around really easy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which I appreciated. However, I do hope the hotel considers a few improvements. It would be great if they could provide basic toiletries, and it would make a big difference to have a well-lit room with a mirror inside, not just in the bathroom. Also, I suggest the hotel enforce quiet hours more strictly, there were a few guests that were quite loud and disruptive. Overall, a good option for budget travelers who want accessibility, but there’s definitely some room to enhance the guest experience.
