JIA RONG HOSTEL

I needed a room with a private bathroom for self-isolation after coming from Japan, so I searched and found this hotel near the station and found the cheapest (3,500 yen in Japanese yen). Considering the location and price, it was a great deal. It is located in the wholesale district in front of Taipei Main Station, and there are many cheap restaurants, so it is very convenient. It is probably 50 years old? It is a hotel like a student dormitory with a Showa-era feel, and the appearance and facilities are comparable to a mid-range hotel in India. Payment is by cash. The staff is only available for a limited time. The tiled bathroom is so old that I don't know if it is clean? However, it was good that hot water came out quickly and the water pressure was strong. Towels, slippers, soap, toothbrush, shampoo are provided, and there is a hair dryer in the room. The toilet paper is soft and can be flushed down the toilet, which is rare for old buildings in Taipei. There is a water dispenser in the hallway, and you can use hot and cold water. There is a TV, although it is only broadcast in Chinese, and the wifi is smooth. The room is designed for a tropical climate, so there is no heater in the winter and it is quite cold. I slept wearing all the clothes I brought with me (including my down coat). Everything you need is there, but it's not very comfortable. It's what you get for the price, but the best thing about it is that it's cheap.
